New neighbor is creeping me out, fml.

I started noticing this guy (mid to late thirties) around mid spring when I would go to stand at the bus stop at a certain time with my mom. He would always appear ten minutes after I would leave my complex. During the first few times he would stare at me, would refuse to stand at the same bus stop, walk down the street a little but would run to the bus when it would come. Then it got weirder about a month later. I recall waiting for the bus to pull up and saw him leering at me from the corner of my eye. Then he got off and went about his business. Once I had got on the bus and had to stand in front of him because it was crowded. He leered at me in this creepy way for the entire ride (twenty minutes !!) When I finally got off the bus with my mom he followed extremely too close behind us for thirty second and I felt his eyes burning a hole into me. Then he walked up more and leered at me before walking to his apartment. The last time I encountered him he had appeared ten minutes after I left my complex with my mom. He literally stood across the street and leered at me for like twenty seconds (made my skin crawl) and then walked across and went to a nearby store.

Ive never see him around anyone and I've asked my mom if she has seen him while going out to run errands in the area and she looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about.

Maybe I was just being too paranoid..... but I recently checked to see if there were any offenders in my complex and there weren't any.

the fact that he just does this &&&!?! regardless if I'm with my mom pisses me off. =\

You want to know how I got these scars?
So at this point it is just him looking. Maybe he has SA issues and stares at people? Maybe he is noticing you being aware of him and is wondering why? Could be a million reasons as to why he's looking.
Don't be overly sensitive to it. Just go about your business and he'll probably drift out of your life.

Oh, and why should he stand for you at the bus stop? You women wanted equal rights, to be treated the same etc etc.. Now you are being treated as equals you want it back to the old ways? :)

Some could say if he stood for women at the bus stop he'd be a chivalrous pig.. or sexist.

Careful what you wish for eh?.. :)

Most of the time I was wearing sunglasses, he couldn't have known that I was aware of the leering.

I am trying to ignore it but sometimes it just feels like he's trying to get my attention and the moment I go out alone near his building he'll run out after me and bug me. =\

Huh ? I never said he stood for me at the bus stop. LOL

Well, I can only hear your point of view and it seems weird. But if he doesn't stand at the bus stop and then run to the bus, etc, he may be insecure and someone who doesn't know how to behave socially so he freaks people out? Keep your guard of course, but do not worry too much if he goes on like this.

I second keeping your guard up based by your description, and alarm bells are telling you the behavior is odd so listen to them.

"During the first few times he would stare at me, would refuse to stand at the same bus stop".

Oh I see. I interpreted this wrong. My apologies.

(Oh and I was making the comments about sexism etc 'tongue in cheek') :)

You're sorry? Dont be. No need.

In reference to the standing at the bus stop I mis-read what was said (trying to read at 4:30am will do this to me).

And no need to be rude/obnoxious with the 'what the hell' comment. Some of us do make mistakes from time to time..

I say take off your shades and look right at him so that he knows you see him and see how he responds. He might stop if he knows hes being watched you know?

Guys that just stare creep me out, as it is sometimes body language for sexual attraction. In a way, it could be considered harassment. Alternatively, maybe he has a mental disorder, like paranoia. Guard yourself.
