Numb

My mom calls me an ugly, pimple-faced, awkward, fat ***. I've gotten over it but my confidence and self esteem is kind of low. I'm not and don't know if I'll ever be good enough.

I hope you don't take her remarks seriously. My dad has a bad temper too but i've learned not to take him seriously.

You want to know how I got these scars?
No parent should EVER call their child those things.

Don't look to her for support. I realize this will be hard, but you need to find someone you can be around who will support you.

It doesn't matter what you look like, you have friends here. *hugs*

I can't understand why your mum would call you that! That's very cruel. Call her out on her insensitive comments.

Some people criticize and put down other people to make themselves feel better about themselves.
It takes a really heartless human to do this to their own child. Try and remind yourself that she maybe doing it because of a fault in herself, and it has nothing to do with you, therefore it is something you don't have to take on board.
I know it would still hurt a lot, but as PugofCrydee suggested, try and find someone to spend your time with who will give you support instead of putting you down.

You don't have to be good enough for a person that says these disgusting things to you. You're already so much better than that. Be good enough for yourself.

I'm sorry. I wish I understood how someone who's supposed to nurture and build you up could be so hostile. I know when people say things like that, it huts and leaves something like a stain on your self-esteem but you can always build yourself up and try to ignore those negative comments as best as you can. I hope your mom knows she's not doing her job as a mother.
