Optimize RA FDischer?

Does anyone have any tips on optimizing the RA Fischer (typo in the title) machine? I just got it and I just want to make sure I see the results?

Anyone have any tips for water quality, timing, general advice, etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Timing can be different for each person but my schedule for hands is every other day for 15 minutes at about 10-12Ma. I use tap water, generally cold except in the winter when I tend to use warmer water. I switch the polarity for each treatment.

If you are using it for hands, I recommend setting up the device on a chair next to where you will be using it. You can set it up and turn it on then place your hands in the water. You can use your foot to increase the intensity and then lower it back down at the end of treatment. Be patient as it can take several treatments to see improvements. Good luck!

As Hyp-hi said. Treatment varies for each of us. When I used the Fisher unit my maintenance treatment was once every 9-10 days, 18-22Ma. I prefer warm water to cold. To me the outcome of the treatment had no relationship to the water temperature.

Tap water worked well for years. Other years I needed to experiment by adding various things to the water to increase efficiency. As my body changed (do to chronic Fibromyalgia, so did my treatment. At one point I needed to do treatment every day. Currently I do treatment once a week.

@Sprawling and @hyp-hi thank you!

About how long did it take you guys to see results? And how effective have those results been?

When I initially started I saw results within 10 days. For some people it can take several months. Overall I've been happy with the results. Results lately have been 90-100%. Results can vary week to week. Without treatment my hands would be wet not moist most of the time. The exception would be if I was totally relaxed by myself.

For the starting period, I'm only supposed to use it once every other day right? at the highest level I can tolerate?

From what I remember, it took 7 or 8 treatments before seeing results. I still sweat in stressful situations, but with the treatment, hands are pretty much dry when in comfortable situation. Every other day sounds about right to start with. I find higher intensity seems to be more effective, so try to increase it to a level where it may sting or tingle a bit but where you can still tolerate it.

I would go every day until you see results. I contact RA Fischer about the schedule before and they said every day is fine. The spacing is typically to help prevent blistering that could occur.

I have an MD-1A and use it every other day for 20 minutes, switching polarity mid way, typically between 12-15 amps. I add a pinch of baking soda with warm water in each tray which helps to get the amps up. I also think it helps with the effectiveness as well. I could probably go longer between treatments but choose to do it every other night since I know it works for me.

I plan to experiment with adding glyco soon to see if it helps with the spacing between sessions. There are several articles that point to an average dry time of 3 days with tap water versus 11 days when adding glyco.

I can still bust out some sweat when anxious which I believe is my root cause but am working on controlling that.

Also, seems like it took a few weeks for me to see good results. I started out doing sessions every few days for 10-15 minutes. If I had to start all over again, I would go 20 minutes daily until I noticed results.

My hands still can sweat at random times when my body likes to go into fight and flight mode for no good reason. It can happen for a short length of time then be totally dry.
