People get on my nerves

Anyone else find that people get on their nerves? Everyone gets on my nerves so much because they talk too much.

Yeah, we definitely have an elitist quality about us that makes us value humility, unobtrusiveness, things like that. It's not a bad thing. I know I pride myself on never being loud, obnoxious, or getting in anyone's face for whatever reason, even though I know not being assertive is costing me in certain aspects of life.

I find most people to be incredibly boring. My husband can sit around at parties and drink and run his mouth for hours on end. I have forced myself to attend some of these parties, and every time they just sit around and get drunk and talk about the same old shit over and over. I had to make an effort not to nod off. Women especially get on my nerves because they like nothing better than to talk a bunch of shit about the other women who aren't present. Then, the next time they see that person, they are just so sugar-sweet and act like they are best friends with that person. It's that kind of sneaky, two-faced garbage that makes me think that most people suck.

Yeah I often find people annoying. I seem to have a very low tolerance towards other people - it doesn't take a lot to piss me off.

I especially get annoyed when people are having a conversation I find boring (which is most of the time) and I'm forced to listen (e.g. at dinner/lunch or in a meeting). It gets so bad sometimes I feel like reaching inside my head and squashing my brain so I don't have to deal with the boredom!

Yeah that's true and most conversations are just pointless crap which goes nowhere. I hate sitting down with people just to talk, i prefer to do something active.

Lol. What i meant by people is the really extrovert ones who talk non stop. I'm more of a thinker than a talker, i could sit for hours just thinking without saying a word and people probably think i'm uniterested in them because i'm not talking to them.

Lol. yeah, I know what you mean. There's definitely a thing as being too extroverted as well. I find it hard to converse with the extremes of either introvertedness or extrovertedness, because of the fine line between. Just gotta kinda... mosey along. Get away from that.

I like conversations about pointless crap when it's pointless crap I enjoy, but most things people talk about bore the hell out out of me. I wish I had a wider range of conversational topics, that would make socialising so much less of a chore.

Agreed. People think I'm strange because I enjoy sitting there without talking for hours on end sometimes. It makes me feel awkward but I can't help it. Some days I just sit outside and imagine everything I want life to be and I'm content with no one around.

I don't get annoyed very easily. I don't find people getting on my nerves. I'm not much of a talker either, but if they're content to prattle on -- more power to 'em.

Exception to this rule is in the morning before I've had a shower: Just don't talk to me. Don't look at me. In fact, if you even think of me, I'll know it, and I'll hate you. Totally not a morning person...

yesssss!!!

man.. loud people and people who talk too much.. it's just annoying, and i find it immature.. just kind of like they just talk to hear themselves talk.

"it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
that's what i think! hahaha

Haha, what a great saying.

I agree with the rest of you guys. When somebody is endlessly rambling
like a drone i think to my self in an Apu (from Simpons) like voice.
"I can't believe he/she will not shut up"

I actually get anxiety when somebody is talking and trying to fit some many
words into their conversation before they run out of breath.
Feels like I get flash headaches or something.
People should just chill.
