People have upsides and downsides, stop being so self-conscious about just one thing.

I have:
Gyno
Herniated Disc
Acne
Bacne
Damaged sciatic nerve root
Neck pains so bad that I cannot sleep sometimes

but I am still thankful for everything.
ASSUME VALUE and Be Proud of what you have because truth of a matter is...some people don't have things me and you have

I am so self-concsious about my voice simply because I have to keep repeating myself to people. Every time someone asks me to repeat what I said I bite my tongue in anger, I can't stand it anymore.

I hate this too. There's a fast food restaurant that I go to where, whenever I go to the drive thru I know that no matter how slowly and clearly I state my order, the person on the other end is going to say, "Huh??"

I don't know if I'm the only one it happens too but it feels like it. But it happens in normal conversations all the time. And sometimes I become more tongue tied the more they ask me to repeat myself. I avoid talking to some people because they say, "What?" after almost everything I say.

One of the worse experiences is when I'm on the phone with somebody in customer service and they say, "Could you speak up, I can BARELY hear you?!?" One time I was talking to a CS rep and we were having a hard time communicating because she wasn't understanding what I was trying to tell her. I knew it was coming so I beat her to it saying, "Could you please speak up because I can BARELY hear you?!?" She was livid, as if I'd stolen her line. She says, "NO, I can barely hear YOU!" I have to admit I got a measure of satisfaction out of that exchange!

I use to be a customer service rep. I never met someone soft spoken like I. People I couldn't understand though sounded like a loud Cookie Monster.
