People think I'm weird...

I've heard a lot from people that they think I'm weird. But every time I ask them what do they see in me that makes them think I'm weird, they can't point it out. They just say I'm weird.

Do you think other people think you're weird too? What makes you weird?

Yes some people think i am very wavering/weird sometimes. Some of them avoided me . But the funny thing is the people who judged me were somewhat wavering/weird too...may be different levels. One(actually many) person i knew used to eat tobacco while working, others drank almost every night to feel good about themselves just for a bit.

My mom is sometimes arrogant, i am ignorant-anxious-angry-weird-lazy etc, my dad drinks, my brother is ignorant-lazy-angry and what not. Who is not weird?

We have some good qualities too. I and most people here are compassionate people but we see only the anxious/weird nature in us. Quite a pessimistic view..!

I used to think i was weird so much until i hit upon meditation.

People do think I'm weird. Here's a list of things that makes me weird: selective mutism, poor social skills, poor communication skills, loner, weird family, bad sense of style, unfashionable haircut, the way I walk (I used to hunch over a lot as if I had 0 confidence), torn clothes, fear of so many things, not reacting or talking back when someone yells sh-- at me, uncommon first name.

Hmm, okay. I hope I'm wrong, but they may say that to save your feelings.

My friend knows I'm not quite normal, and he can't understand why I do half the things I do, but hey, he's still friends with me so I must be doing something right.

I like Weird

People probably do, people who don't really know me will comment on how quiet I am, which they may think is weird. Not weird per se but in the way that they have never seen anything like it before.

Once people do get to know me a little or spend a little time with me other things probably stand out to. I'll make faces sometimes when thinking to myself, as well as make noises whether mumblings to myself, humming or singing under my breath, or just slightly too audible sighs. How I talk, what I talk about, things like that are irregular as well. Some of what I say and think can be a bit odd or weird since I isolate myself from most people so I'm sort of in a different world.

Here's what my grandfather used to say: "What people think of you is none of your business. Just take responsibility for your beliefs and and do whatever you want in the respect of others...".

I don't think I am weird. Highly individual, eccentric, idiosyncratic, or unique? Absolutely, but weird to me brings up creepy and bad.

I am very private so most people do not know much about that is different, like being an avid student of a fringe spiritual teaching that and having an (as of yet unrealized) interests in BDSM. I also dress in a feminine/formal/classy style, so I don't look eccentric.

While I am very shy, I tend to come off as more aloof, even snobby. I don't think I seem overly awkward. I actually think to the unskilled eye, if you were to spend half an hour in my presence you would think that I was a polite if distant, quiet, bookish girl. But maybe that's wishful thinking.

Now if you actually gets to know me? There are lots of the "little things" like the fact that I find wearing underwear bothersome, cannot stand unshaven legs, and sometimes have odd thoughts (like I am infested with bugs that are trying to chew through my skin) that I cannot shake or seeing things! I tend to see shadow people a lot and hear whispered conversations. Oh and I am legally an adult, but I still have imaginary friends, yes plural. But I know they are not real :crying:

Fortunately I don't let people get close enough.

I think I'm weird but I'm so private I don't share anything personal about me anyway so people just see me as the quiet girl that never speaks.

Oh, aye. Definitely! Am very aware o' it as well. Though, it doesnae bother me as much as it use tae.

What makes me weird? Well, there's ma selective mutism - though, I hate being made aware of it. "Yer awfy quiet, aren't ye? Dae ye no' talk much, eh?" :idontknow: :eek:h: :kickingmyself:

Eh, let's see, what else...? Oh, ma inability to maintain a conversation (Small talk has me bored s**tless!). My apprent "anti-social" tendencies, according tae ma oldest sister. Ma quiet, introverted, loner nature. And ma general inability to articulate, verbally. And the fact that am quite a private person, I don't readily share personal information about myself.
