If heaven and/or hell existed, wouldn't they be terribly overcrowded by now?

Not if the souls were transferred to digital and compressed like a zip file.

But seriously, assuming that souls exist and we enter either of those domains in a non-physical form then why would we be taking up space at all?

It's the cataloging of the souls that would be difficult. One would think that heaven would have a pristine and elegant system but hell's would be like a college fraternity's records. Shit written on napkins and cigarette boxes with beer spilled on all of it.

And even if the realm expanded on demand of citizens, average commute to anyone must be Hell.. even if you're in Heaven.

Regardless of our form, be it physical or spiritual, how would people spend their time?

I think it would get boring after a couple of centuries, at least for those in heaven. Maybe they "retire" souls when they have been adequately rewarded for the life they lived? Or when they finish experiencing all the things they wanted to do in their life but did not have the chance to do, like running a retail store or ironing skydiving.

Maybe they have these stories they can live, kinda like video games but way more realistic and immersive. Maybe our lives are those stories, which would explain us going to heaven when we die (game over), reincarnation (just playing another story), parallel timelines (different people playing the same story), parallel universes (playing some fiction story), and so on.

I'd like to think in a paradise such as that, growing bored of things you're truly passionate about is something that needn't happen. Kinda like the power to rewatch your favourite movie for the first time- every time you watch it. But not by force, by choice.

I hope they have plenty of displays in store I can try. Im still a little jaded after the Virtual Boy lol.

I hope so too, it'll be a great selling point to those that have never tried a VR headset or have tried inferior ones. In the case of modern VR seeing really is believing.

HOLY CRAP NO WAY. When????? Hell I'll just Google it. Awesome

I know, right? Also in case you didn't look it up yet (or if others are curious,) it's going to be released in the first quarter of 2016.

Worried that this person is keeping something away from me. Not that I really need to know I guess. I just feel like something is off.

I'm taking bereavement time tomorrow and Friday to get down the coast for my grandfather's funeral, was nervous all week at work about my boss or others bringing the funeral up and the possibility of that triggering tears, and now I'm falling a bit behind on work and probably will even more. I've been trying to stay distracted working into the evenings and just missed the summer 2015 deadline for grad school applications due to being absent-minded :kickingmyself:

I'm happy to have GoT and Ben and Jerry's as an escape :idontknow:

I am so glad I moved out of the small town scene into a bigger city where I am officially anonymous. There is nothing better than knowing no one and no one knowing me. I also adore the fact that there are almost 15 count horses with in 500 yards of my front door. I went for a walk tonight at dusk with my dog and met them all. They were frisky and running in the cool evening breeze- such gorgeous creatures. There was a little black yearling colt that I might have to make mine...if he/ she is for sale. Horses are the most beautiful animals. I really need to be around them more. Anyways, happy to be in a new town :)

Oculus Rift announced their consumer version release date today. So on that bombshell, once VR is here, I am out.. of reality.

In addition, HTC + Valve also announced Vive to be released late 2015 some time ago. Excited to see how both of these turn out.

And I believe Project Morpheus was also stated/rumoured to go live somewhere in 2016. But I'm less excited about that, considering it's a peripheral to a device I don't own.

Still, it's nice to see this passive little arms race forming between devices that are excellent in their own right.
