I need something alcoholic.
Just had a second earthquake in 3 days (plus several after shocks). This was 5.7 mag. At least this time I knew what was going on lol, not like Thursdays. :eek:h:
The aftershock an hour later seemed stronger than both earthquakes.
They say we have had one that bad in 1918.

I live 2 mins walk from the beach, so if I die in a Tsunami I will be happy. :applause:
I am a good swimmer, but if not, goodbye all of you wonderful people in here! :)

Had a serious conference call meeting this morning to get some grant money for a project. I feel so glad it is over! I actually felt like I did better than expected. I got nervous of course and felt my voice crack a few times and my throat begin to tighten with fear as I had to talk for a good 5 mins straight to this top dog dude. He was actually very mellow in nature and so it wasn't as scary as I made it out to be. Nothing is ever as bad as our minds freak us out it will be, ever. I read some book I cannot remember the name but the basis of it was when you suffer from anxiety to always remember and to even journal and rate your experiences in a log so you can see it is never so bad as you think when IT whatever it is is over.
I also got to talk to one of my idols this week about my favorite subject in the world. That was incredible and she was amazing like I knew she was so it was easy to talk to her.
If we never push ourselves we will never work beyond our crippling fears to become the people we are supposed to be. I have tortured myself for so long thinking basically I am not good enough or worthy of things in this world and it is BS. We all our worthy of happiness and success but we have to keep trying and pushing ourselves or we will never get better.
I might revert again to my depressed self and have bad spells but I know that theses times are what life is about. These goals I have made and achieved are what will bring me to a better place. Everything we do matters. Not doing anything and begin stagnate is what has been killing me slowly. Allowing my fears and depression to take over is giving up and I don't want to give up. There are too many things I want to do. I would be lying if I said there wasn't.

I swear all managers take the same course on how to be a dickbag. Even the "nice" ones have a lot of the same mannerisms as the not-so-nice ones. I guess when you have to oversee people all day every day you inevitably develop these behaviors. Not something I would ever want to do.
^ I believe it is the ones that don't mind being mean to other people that make it into management positions. Kind of like they are able to climb over and on top of other candidates to be successful in management job vacancies.

They seem to also have very controlling personalities. One of the reasons I would never date a person in upper management.

Omg! 5.7 is scary! I went through a few 3.0s and that was really frightening!

I live near a super volcano so I have pretty much the same attitude about Mother Nature and her wrath. If the lava comes it will take me but I am ok with that seeing as there's nothing I can do about it.

^ I admire your positive attitude, MollyBeGood. Congrats on doing better than you expected you would.

You live near a "super volcano"!? Whoa. Being killed in a volcanic eruption would be one of the worst ways to go I think.

I have always noticed that genuinely confident people don't aspire to control others.

Thanks Blue :) I feel bad for everyone here who is struggling more. I don't like to talk about when things I do go well...it is awkward and difficult to do. It is easer to talk about all the bad stuff.

Well I think a earth quake would be scary if you lived in a city, maybe that is not the case for you...I hope not. Yes volcanos are awful but it wouldn't last too long the pain of it. I suppose you would just get swallowed up really fast into the river of lava. The idea of falling into a crack in the earth or a tidal wave is pretty scary too. A sky scraper falling on you etc...
It all sounds pretty awful in the end!
Yellowstone Lake has a super volcano under it. According the this NY Post article everyone in the U.S. would die from it. There's something you don't read about in the park vacation brochures!

Mother. ****er.

Follow me here; seconds before I need to head out to work, I'm putting on my pants and my shoes, I'm ready for what is at best a challenging day of social interactivity. I'm feeling up for it. Then I hear keys dangling and a door slam shut. I don't think much it, they're ambient noises. It took about a minute to realize that the keys I heard were my keys.

My brother's girlfriend just kindly, without asking, left with my freakin' keys seconds before I was heading out to work.

My bicycle, house and storage space keys were all on there. What am I going to do now? My bike is my only transport. I can't even get to it as it's behind a locked door.

If you don't want to give me a ride home you can just say so, you don't have to sneak out during the minute I went to the bathroom.

If someone has nothing to hide then why would they feel the need to change their passcode on their phone after someone looks at their phone while they're using it and they didn't even see the passcode. You assume they seem it so you change it as if that person really want to look through your phone. It's odd how that person doesn't snoop around but you think they will for what ever reason.

Aw, darn.

I thought I'd have some money for a few movies next month. But a few surprise invoices came up and buying them would put me under my savings quota. :c

I forgot what I was gonna say

I think I was gonna mention people staring at me...

I got double carded. Like how is that possible. Irritating.
