I ask myself that frequently. Comes down to money for me as far as huvin good things. As for people, ye huv to be likeable and outgoing, at least from what I've noticed with folk. I'm neither, so I'm f**ked...

Yes people seem to have a tendency to avoid negative emotions at all cost. If your depressed or cynical or angry a lot/most of the time they do not want to be around you (unless they are the same way), they don't want want to be your friend. They don't to deal with your emotions or put much work into helping you. They're okay with some negativity as long as it doesn't last long.

They will only be okay with you being depressed/whatever for a few months or so if you are a really good friend of theirs for a long time.

All my thoughts are random, all my feelings indistinct.
They swirl and whirl and gurgle like the water in my sink.
It matters not if they are pleasant, nor if they give me pain;
They swirl and whirl and gurgle some, then vanish down the drain.

There's your Thursday afternoon rubbish delivery. Five cents, please.

I literally feel sick inside when I hear a man refer to having sex as getting "pu**y." The most blatant reduction of a woman to a sex object, ever. It's so vomit-inducing.
It sickens me as well but for a totally different reason. A self respecting man shouldn't need a v***** the same way he needs food or water.
When a man displays his sexual thirst he gives away his power.

Should I leave a comment on that comedian's YouTube video?
There's every chance she'd reply as well. Not that I'd be saying anything mean or anything like that.

Might be a bit weird if she remembers speakin' to me yesterday afternoon. Since, unlike these other young, hipster fannybawz ya see handing out flyers @ the Edinburgh Fringe, she wus actually sweet enough to take the time to tell my sister and I about her show afore giving us the flyer. And us buying the tickets to see her new show. Since it'd be a bit rude not to go, wouldn't it?

Plus ah think I might need to reconsider the t-shirt I wus planning on wearing tomorrow as well.

Man, I don't feel like talking or engaging with famil, not even my wife, at all. I barely muster a word unless you count a grumble, mumbling one word answer. I don't tend to make small talk anyway but last 3-4 years, I've disengaged from family..

Never thought I'd see the day when I'd rather be sat in my office at work (admittedly just sat on my own in peace and quiet..)

Yep! I can definitely relate, except I'm sat in my room in front of my laptop.

What's it like having friends? It's been so long since I have had a friend (or since I've had anyone that felt like a friend) that I can't remember what it's like.

Same with me. Though, I've never really had friends, more acquaintances.
So ah don't know what it's like, either, in that sense.

I used to do that - and wish I could do that - few years ago when I was out of work. Just stay in my room with my laptop, internet access, books - that was enough for me then life changes....

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Had the chorus of this song by James stuck in my head since hearing again for the first time in a long time on Friday night.

To the point where I'm thinking about learning how to play it on the guitar and keyboard. And possibly learning how to sing it?
