FOMO anyone? Or are you a YOLO?

PS It’s silence that gives us the answers. It's what tells us we needn’t worry about making the most out of every minute of this life we are given. The silence that assures us that nothing of “epic” proportions is going on without us.

I feel alone at University. While everyone is out there making friends, I'm stuck in my usual bubble of isolation. I've tried to go out there and be social but I can't help but feel awkward and cringy.

Yep, coffee is one of my "drugs" of choice. The trick is to consume just the right amount of drugs/chemicals, so you get the effects but not the side-effects. Others i consume regularly are sugar, chocolate, medications, alcohol, fizzy drinks, crisps, biscuits. A good mix of them.

Caffeine, sugar, and lots of fast-food here. Live slow, die middle-aged, and leave a baaaaaaad looking corpse! :D

I work tomorrow and thursday and then I get my first 3 day weekend of the pay period . something I like about this job is they never make you do more than 3 days in a row..because basically your feet would snap off and you'd collapse. lol

I really don't understand why people think everything I do is funny. I understand with my SA, my mannerisms can seem funny to people I'm around a lot but even people I don't know and act normal around seem to find me amusing. Lately, I've been cutting back on my eating habits and have been eating a light dinner. Sometimes I'll go to the local Popeyes drive thru and instead of ordering an entire meal, I'll just order a side like their cajun rice, a biscuit and some lemonade. Apparently, this has become a joke with the drive thru crew. I noticed the girls suppressing laughter as they hand me my order. Today I confronted them and asked what was so funny about a guy not ordering a full meal. That seemed to sober them up and they couldn't offer up a reason for their amusement. I drove off feeling a little vindicated at letting them know I was aware of what they were doing, giving them a chance to enlighten me and leaving them with no answer. You can only take being the butt of others' jokes but so often.

Yeah, I can definitely relate.

had a REALLY hard time with a group of 3 inmates today. we were brining them back from lunch and when we tried to get them back in their pod they started arguing with us. for some for reason LOGIC doesnt work with some of these guys. so the argument escalates to the point where I'm being yelled at and cussed at by 3 LARGE inmates .

as a last resort of the argument, I end up saying to one of them "just shut the fvck up and get in your pod!!" really loud and kind of close to his face ..then my partner comes over (he's like 300 pounds) and we settle the probblem , FINALLY getting them into the pod.

about 5min later he tells me that one of them was a high ranking member of The Crips and the other two were ALSO in the crips but at a lower rank.

...holy sh!t...that could have gotten BAD. lol

one of the upsides of this job though is that after iv done it for a while , I'm not going to be afraid of ANYTHING. hopefully social anxiety will be a thing of the past at that point.

Is a beard still "legit" if the reason you're growing it is pure laziness (i can't be bothered clipping it)

 I guess... :giggle: I haven't clipped my moustache for over a month now. It's starting to get fairly long. Why wouldn't it be "legit", exactly?

As i haven't trimmed it, but simply let it grow out as-is. And it's not a fashion choice, but a laziness choice. I'm not "growing a beard", but i'm not even thinking about & just letting it grow as it would in the wild. So it's 100% unkept & unplanned, is what i'm saying.
