There were 2 murders and a suicide in my neighbourhood this weekend. One man killed his sister and her baby, then commited suicide with the same knife he murdered them...
These kind of things depress me, as if I'm not already depressed enough.

The way I see it, there's idiots, and special kinds of idiots. Totally bombing on occasion seems to be part of the human experience. I just hope it wasn't something too scarring.
Sounds just right to me, listen to the man, Escape. Errr the puma ::p:

I believe the correct term is 150 billion. 150 thousand-million, would be the epically wrong term. And trust me, I've uttered it a few times.
That's because English and American people are weirddddddddd
Thousand times a million is a thousand million, a billion is million times a million!!!!

Almost in all Europe (except the UK :p) a billion is 10^12, don't believe what they say, puma! Remember your dutch blood, brother.

My blood has been replaced by caffeine and mushed pizzas a long time ago my friend. ;3

Man, I had no idea it was read in Europe that way.. .. .. You see, I'm one of those special kind of idiots.

"Google" isn't a number, the number is "Googolplex", but they got their name from it. And I think their HQ is called "Googleplex".

FYI a Googolplex is:

Went on a date yesterday (with the same guy from last weekend) to the zoo. I got lots of cool pictures of different animals (like the one below) and had a good time despite all the walking and heat. I'm really glad I brought my camera, because I've been wanting to expand my portfolio for a while now.

i keep getting employees in the company, and even my own store asking me if i will be managing the store now that the other manager is leaving

"she was my co-manager," i tell them, "my position isn't changing - i've been the store manager for two years. what did you think i did?"

they just look at me with a blank stare

apparently, my low key approach toward management is working

I've been online ALL DAY LONG. Figure I'd come to my safe place, SPW. :)
I answered some emails from my very good and long time friend in AUS. He sent pictures of his kids - he's been going thru a rough time lately and we've both been sharing our 'stories of woe' lol. But it seems cathartic to get it out I guess.

Got stuck on Pinterest.com today - addictive site for women, but I got some good ideas for art and photos so that's good...now to put those ideas into action is the tough part.

As dorky as it sounds, I feel comfortable when I am online here at SPW with all of you. It's kinda like my comfort zone...and it helps knowing that others out there have quite similar issues and we're not alone in this.
^wow, that was sappy...

^OUCH! I'm sorry MikeyC...that sucks :(
and expensive. Good thing you had your stuff on external drive. That's what I do as well. Guess you just proved how important it is to back up!

instead of repair, could you go to something like craigslist to get something a bit cheaper or don't want to go that route?
IDK, just throwing an idea out there.

Can't use Craigslist as I'm in Australia. I'll find some money or something. I have a smartphone now so it's okay.

That's the same thing as kijiji, here; and where I do all of my antiques searching.
