Does anyone find that they have constant low-level anxiety? Like, if there's nothing consciously making you anxious, but it's always there in the background, then if you think about it, it gets worse. That's how it is for me, anwyay. I'm wondering if anyone else is similar.

Yeah. It's difficuult because this "thing", this SP, depression, Anxiety, whatever, is our cross to bear, it might always be something we struggle against. Like everyone's life it will be up and down.
I am definately aware of this undercurrent of low anxiety, and I like the way you put it, I've thought about it but never really put it into words. I feel that it is always THERE, it just is stronger or weaker depending on my mental state.
I also get anxious for no aparent reason. I won't be thinking of anything that I can verbally define, but the anxiety is there. It's at that point where I try to distract myself with some activity before it can grow bigger.

Yes it's the same for me as well. I know exactly where you are coming from.

It's like an irritating fly buzzing around the room that just won't go away no matter what.

After I get an anxiety attack, I will continue to have low level anxiety for quite a long time after words, not to mentioned tingling feet. I find that meditation using a mantra (there are different types of meditation, this method works best for me) helps me a lot in reducing this low level stress.

I just posted this same topic before finding this one. I feel the same way. I am always anxious even if there is nothing to be anxious about. But as soon as my mind realizes i'm anxious it searches for a cause and always finds something for me to attribute it to. At which point I will often obsess over it until it drives me crazy. I am fairly sure I have OCD because these repetitive thoughts will torment me at times and they are over trivial things.

I also feel this way sometimes, but lately I got an whole week where it was ALL GONE. I can't even describe how it was a nice feeling, no bariers anymore, I think I've met 15 people just that week, so after all there's hope for all of us, we're not entitled to bear this shit all our life, I got the proof. We must continue fighting thats the only way for me.

I have Social Anxiety and I find that I go through periods like that where I'm just anxious all the time. I find I'm exhausted, irritable, depressed and unable to face anyone.

I find that I'm usually planning and daydreaming when my anxiety isn't bad though. I go long periods without much anxiety though as well (except the planning, I do that all the time) but it's the periods of anxiety that are the worst.

Hi,

I have the sama feeling, always scared to have another panic attack. I have been doing a lot of reading and seeking help.

Anyone from melb? eastern side? love to have a group meeting to share problems. It helps when you know/see someone who has the same prob.

I am from Blackburn, any one want to meet up? i do prefer a group of pple.... we can either meet at cafe, walk around the block or wantever.
