Here. I really wish to be a psychotherapist. (Imagine all the social contact.) And an author. (A good author, writing and selling good stuff. Consuming, duh?)

Don't really know if I am good enough. But I am going to give it a try. (For the hell of it, am I going to give it a try!)

Right now I am just trying to find a job that I can handle. My dream career went out the window years ago. But that is just me. Some people can do it even with SA. If you feel that there is even a chance I say go for it. Just try to have a backup waiting just in case.

Thought about it, for 30 seconds and dismissed it. I kinda have huge aspirations for my career too.
You can do anything you want as long as it makes sense.

I'm way too old to be thinking about starting my "dream career", but I always wanted to work with animals. Being a caretaker in a zoo would be so wonderful, or maybe an animal researcher like Jane Goodall. I would find being a forest ranger appealing, too. That would be paradise for me -- no people, just animals and nature and freedom.

Tryin - That's great, i wish you luck, when your book is published i'm so reading it....psychotherapist sounds great too. Maybe you should treat me.

Rubius - How do you know that? Just like you said...try to do it.

DH - Definately true.

Foxglove - I love animals. You're never too old to start thinking about it either - just do it for the hell of it.

Zeroday, my dream career is to be either a graphic designer, or to work in the film industry as something. What about you?

My dream would be to work for the environment.

And what does good enough mean?

I did try. Although it wasn't my dream job it was a successful career. I tried to go for several years before I finally accepted the truth. I hope with the therapy I am finally getting that I will be able to do a job I like. Or at least one I don't hate. If I can do that some day maybe I will search for a dream job, but I have to be aware of my limitations and accept them. Oh, and my dream job would be a video game designer. Smile

I should add that I would also like to have a job that would permit me to read all day long. =)
