iya i am a girl with hyperhidrosis, i'v had it since i can remember. I'm 16 and the main place which affects me is on my hands. I also have it on my feet, underarms, behind my knees and sometimes in hot weather on my top lip Confused i find it hard 2 socialise with people. I'v never had a boyfriend because of this as i have no self asteem. I'v used dricol but had to stop useing that because it gave me blister inbetween my fingers and made my armpits itch so much tha i couldn't sleep at night. I'v bin to see a dermatologist and referred me to cannok chase where they have a machine that helps but cannok chase is too far away from where i live and i can't afford but a machine myself. Can anyone reccomend another product that actually works? thanx xxx

The first thing I ever tried was putting driclor on my hands but it made them incredibly dry and flakey, maybe there was some blisters as well, so I would avoid using it on your hands really. Unfortunately apart from botox which is quite expensive, iontophoresis is the main thing you would use for your hands. You could try purchasing some secure wipes which may help. This is like a tissue that you wipe across the skin and the glycopyrrolate which is the ingredient stops the sweat glands functioning. You can order them from www.pharmacy.ca

*raises hand* I'm a girl! I'm 19.

I was diagnosed late last year when I went to see a doctor about something else & I mentioned it. I've noticed it ever since I was little, my Dad used to call me 'leaky'. I get it on my hands & feet.

A dermatologist gave me a roll on called 'Amhydrol forte' (Think thats how you spell it) I only used it on my hands, it dried them out but Im in a relationship & you're not allowed to touch things...if you get my drift.

I've been on 'Probanthine' since Friday & can't really tell if they're doing anything.

This is my first post & Im SO glad I found this forum & a name for my 'condition'

heya there, yea i am a girl who suffers from (mainly axillary) HH too. Sad honestly i find it a complete nightmare.. i use driclor (which is incredibly uncomfortable to use for me, and has resullted in really hideos dark pigmentation in all over my underarms).. so basically the days fter i have used driclor the night before clothes are not that much of an issue so long as they are not sleevless. but when i havent used driclor findin clothes is the biggest nightmare. i am late for uni because i stand in front of my wardrobe for hors trying to think how i can best conceal it. summer is the worse. i cant wear anything sleeveless due to the state of my armpits, and anything tight the sweat shows up. urghhh such a nightmare!!!

Hello, name's Vita...

I've had hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating for a long time... Almost for as long as I can remember. Anyways being a sweaty girl doesn't really have that many benefits. I strategically shop for my clothes because you never know when you're going to be without your antiperspirant or in a sweaty situation...

I've been using MegaDry Antiperspirant for a while and it's been working great. I've tried a lot of stuff. Most of it irritates me. But I'm still looking around for new products and I think that's the best way to go about things... Find something that works but don't be satisfied... Try the above links if you're interested in MegaDry or the links below:[/url]

to be honest, I wouldnt mind having a gf with hh as well. We wouldnt be embarassed to be with the other since we both have it.

btw did anyone see that survey that found that both sexes are turned on more than usual by the scent of sweat Laughing

My wife who suffers from hyperhidrosis on her hands and feet isn't exactly seeing the positives in being sweaty (of which I admit there are few). She refuses holding hands outside (because people are looking, she says) and generally has bad mood because of it and is very shy in social settings.

We will now try acquiring the idromed 4 and see how it goes.

sorry to be choosy with gender, but i think theres more guys on here than girls with hh and cos im a girl id like to talk to girls to see if its affected anything that guys might not experience like dating or prom or clothes etc...

I am a girl and I have the same problem. I feel like I can't ever lift my arms up or wear anything but black. It's the worst at school or when I'm talking on the phone. When I'm just chillin at home with my family i'm usually dry but once I get with other people like school or shopping or whatever it gets so bad. I feel so alone cuz' no one else I know has the same problem. My mom gave this dang burden to me but not my beautiful perfect sister. It's not fair. Why did god create people with hh anyways?
