My name’s Irina, and I’m a reporter from The Toronto Observer (http://www.tobserver.com). I’m also a student at the University of Toronto and at Centennial College, and I’m writing an article about college and/or university students who’ve been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I want reveal the hardships that students who suffer from OCD face on a daily basis from their perspective. Students go through numerous problems in their lives (e.g., substance abuse, depression, stress). But when you add OCD to the already complicated mix, matters intensify and worsen for afflicted students. Learning about mental illnesses is of great interest to me, especially because some of my family members have been affected by various psychological disorders.
