I've read that a larger number of females then males tend to get OCD and other anxiety disorders. Why do you think this is? Please post your crackpot theories.

I don't know if that is true. People (either men or women) may be suffering from OCD and just not know it. Or (such as myself), people have OCD and are too embarrassed to admit it, let alone seek help. I've read somewhere that is it usually women who will seek out help for any anxiety-related disorder more so than men.

I also read that people who suffer from OCD are generally highly intelligent (or at least have above average intelligence). That, at least, I would say, is a nice thing to say about people who have this condition.
