Its disgusting! coming on to a site with vunerable people who which, people aged 13 also use btw! talking about scuicide????? children come on to this site to see how over people r coping....what do you think talking about scuicide suggests to them in terms of dealing with it? its disgusting and i think the moderators should take down any topics which r pro-suicide!
I think scuicide is the most cowardly and selfish thing you can do. Your a coward because yes life has thrown a unpleasent condition at you, but life has also thrown alot of rape, murdered loved ones, pedophiles and god knows at people! i mean u think ur afriad of people? fuck me. what about rape victims? how u think they feel walking into a room fulla men? and to be honest....they have an actual reason to be afriad of people. but! someone who is not a coward would use this unpleasent experience to help others, the amount of people who were abused when they were young who now help current children who r abused, in my eyes are the definition of the good which is in this world. this is selfish because children in poor countries everyday fight for life. they dont have a internet site to share their problems with fellow poor children! they know they still have to get on with life knowin they could be shot dead at any moment. they fight for life where there is no education...no jobs...no prospects..god. they fight for life because it is all they have.
and some of you sit on here saying you want to end it all sitting in a house with the internet becuase daily tasks like going to the shop is scary!? when they fight for life because they could be shot dead!!!???

I think that's a bit harsh and judgemental of you. I don't see anyone on here going "want to commit suicide? I can help" do you? Or people saying "well, I think that you should go through with it, that's a rather good idea". I don't see at all where people are pro-suicide here. And those who have considered or currently are, come here to vent and possibly seek help. They have more problems than just going to the store. People who have reached that mindset are far worse off than you or I can begin to understand.
As for those kids over in Africa or where ever, they have no internet. They have no tv. As far as they know, life doesn't get any better than that. So of course they're righting for the one thing they have, because as far as they know, that's as good as it gets.
erm yes exactly. people with SA only think their lives are shit because they take what they have for granted. dont give me the bullshit of i dont know what it feels like etc, at 16 i had SA which i saw someone for, it then manifested into depression once i lost my fear of social situations, then it finally finished with depersonalization disorder. i know exactly what it feels like, and i didnt get better by contemplating suicide i tell ya! actualy took about a good nearly 5 years of hard work and persistance to be free of all demons. and hell yeh, it kept comming back, i would be 100% good for a month and then out of no where it would come back like a bad rash, which is the most painfull because its like a wound freshly re-opening.
so bollox to your judgemental horseshit. you know what really annoys me? people on here, who wont get out to work coz of SA, people who contemplating suicide, and people who get in a huff when someone bad mouths that. well when 99.9% of the population r goin to work, and not contemplating suicide, u r the minoirity im afriad, most people would find it disgusting, in japan you would be shunned actualy! they just dont belive it to be an illness and i would agree from expereince and the fact im a psychology student...i know EXACTLY what im talking about! but what annoys me is, that alot of people on here u can tell r actualy trying
But some people who r 'oh poor me' and wont get up in the mornings. ofcourse no one is going to like or respect you! DUH!
Oh and by the way....I have counciled 3 people in REAL life to prevent them commiting suicide.. all of which worked...all of which worked because i gave em a jolly good kick up the back side and told em to sort it out and to stop being pathetic.
I have not noticed too many pro-suicides here, mostly just venting as previously mentioned. I think its beneficial to know these things, as you have mentioned to think a bit more openly.
The whole African tires me in all honesty it is used too much, there is just as much problems in our more 'comfortable' societies as there is in africa, merely some on a lesser scale. Yes, the world sucks. But for someone that far down and close to suicide as you describe, realising such a thing would mean very little.

i know mate, and i think its a really sad thing to be honest. i mean u can have nothing like afirica or you can have everything like UK n USA and people either way r unhappy lol.
First of all, do keep in mind that you are a student, which means you do not have your degree yet, therefore you are not fully educated, you're still learning.
And while you're up there on your high horse, why don't you put your previously successful knowledge to good use. People who come here often don't have anywhere else to turn. They don't have people who have been through stuff or are going through it. So let them vent, and if need be, give it to 'em straight up. I think it's cold, but hell, if you think it works, who am I to say otherwise. But don't tell them to stay quiet about it.
Wait, what? You do know then that the average social phobe cannot work because of this illness, not because they want to I assure you. And taking things for granted means nothing to those who have not lost everything once, myself included. The point remains.
If I was born with blindness and disablity that prevented me to work, or even injury, rape shock even, would you hold more respect for those? Dispite that alot of social phobes cannot work because of SA? Results are the same, it is not some 'shyness' as you know.
Oh I guess everybody depressed to the point of suicide suck and are obviously idiots who could not see how happy and wonderfully brilliant it is to live in such a society with computers and what not. Sorry for the sarcasm, but do you think they really want to be that way? And if it was so easy why are they still like this?
