what are you like during the morning when you first wake up?
...during later morning?
do you consider yourself a morning person?

when i wake up in the morning i always feel SO ANGRY if anyone even so much as talks to me. it is totally irrational and fucked up but... it's like i can't control it. i feel so sensitive to sound and energy. it's like it is so invasive to me that i am filled with rage. it feels like an uncontrollable physiological reaction almost. i HATE being around people in the morning (i hate being around people always, actually, but it's waaaay more amplified right when i wake up). if i hear someone's voice it fills me with this rage, anger, hatred. my family basically has learned to just stay the hell away because i'm a total bitch. i don't want to be that way but the feelings of rage are so intense that i can act no other way. usually, i hide away and try to have as little human contact as possible (cats accepted) that way they don't have to deal with me and i don't have to deal with them.

if someone or something interrupts my sleep that REALLY pisses me off like nothing else. rage. sleep is precious to me. it is the only time i can NOT be anxious.

later morning i still do not want to be around people at all. i do not feel fully awake until about 1pm. am i a morning person? hah. hahahahahah. i just posted this because i am curious if it is common for people with anxiety to experience a morning rage due to feeling extra sensitive to sound/smells/etc.

Perhaps you're just a grouch in the morning?
I'm not like that in the morning, usually too lazy and tired to give a crap.
But some people in my family are definitely like that - well, come to think of it, both females of my family are like that every morning. Grouchy![/i]

When I first wake up, I feel like a zombie. I lay in bed for awhile until I get bored. I usually don't sleep well at nights. I sleep better during the say. *shrugs* I am sensitive to loud sounds and the telephone until a few hours later. I haven't had any smells that bother me.

Late mornings aren't too bad. I mainly watch a movie at this time. It gets my mind off things and after the movie, I sometimes get motivated to clean.

I'm not a morning person at all. I hate mornings. I'm much like you that I get angry and I argue. People know better than to talk to me until I talk to them first.

If people wake me up, I get so angry I flip out. The only time I don't mind being woken up is from my dog if she has to go outside. Anxiety usually doesn't bother me at night and sleep is also precious to me. Luckily, I only live with my dad and he now knows when he can talk to me. At times, he likes to bother me in the morning just to irritate me and it works. He's a coal miner and he changes shifts every week. I usually change my sleep schedule around his schedule. When he's home, I'm usually sleeping. Since I don't have a schedule to work around, I sleep when I want.

So you're definitely not the only one getting angry.

I don't like talking much in the morning if at all. Once i've had a shower it's a bit better.

I am not a morning person at all either. Sometimes I get extra sensitive and angry for no reason. It doesn't usually last that long. I can definitely relate to not wanting my sleep disturbed because its a time when I have piece of mind with no worries.

Generally I'm not a morning person either. I have been trying to get up at 7am every day, since I have to do that for school which I have twice a week. There'll be a period of a week at a time where I'm really good and energetic in the morning, and then there's other times where I just feel lethargic and its feels impossible to get anything done. In terms of being a grouch, I find that more and more, I'm getting into fights with my parents. A lot of it I'm sure is just wanting to grow up and get out of living at home (I'm 20 and have FINALLY applied for a college and a university). I just get SO worked up and irritable whenever I'm told "its time for bed" or "clean up this". I often feel like I HATE it when there's people around. I would love to just live on my own for a while, it would be so much more relaxing. I find that watching tv to escape for a while is nice, when I'm feeling lazy in the morning. What works even better, if I'm in the mood, is doing dishes or laundry. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something lol.

I'm definitely not a morning person either, and it takes me a good while to wake up properly. More often than not, I don't feel as if I've got going until the afternoon.

Having plenty of sleep is really valuable to me. I wish others could appreciate how much of an important role it plays in determining my mood/ anxiety level.

Whenever I am wake up I always feel really energized and the morning is my favorite time of the day. I always feel great until I go to school, and then as the day goes by I just tired of the day and want it to be over. I never actually feel really tired. It's weird.
