hi everyone--i'm new here. i think i have every type of sweating you can have, and i think it's just getting worse as i get older (awesome).

question: does anyone else notice that when they wear socks, their hands sweat less? my hands and feet both sweat probably the most, and i'm paranoid about going anywhere without socks because i seem to sweat everywhere else 10X worse. as in i keep a pair of socks here at work that i wear under my desk every day. i take them off and put my shoes back on when i have to go to the printer or the kitchen, or my boss's office (heels don't look quite as hot with socks on).

also i guess i have another question: when i get embarrassed my whole body gets so hot that people can actually feel heat emanating from my body. this gets awkward. and then of course i start sweating. does that happen to anyone else?

also sometimes i've noticed i have dilated pupils as well. someone was talking about that earlier.

please answer!

I have a similar problem. I wear socks almost every day when I have to leave the house, even just to go about 300 feet outward.
Though I haven't thought about it, my hands do sweat less now. It could actually be because I wear socks a lot now and maybe because my feet are more heated up while wearing shoes and socks, it sweats there more so the circulation maybe heading to my feet.
I'm not an expert in this area so I'm probably wrong.
I do however know I sweat a lot at my feet since when I'm at home and let's say I'm playing a game, I notice that a puddle forms at my feet more than anywhere else. But I'm sure that when I'm excited I'll sweat a lot, just it's not always at my feet or hands.

The heat problem I seem to always have, and I thought I was the only one. It's not when I'm embarrassed, I become embarrassed when I realize about this heat thing.
Seems that when I'm next to anything, mainly when I'm sitting, that spot not only heats up but I think water vapors condenses slightly and forms on the heated area. Then when I notice it I become embarrassed which then results with me sweating and before anyone notices I'd cover it up with my bag or jacket or even intentionally spill a lot of water in the area. This was mostly in my school days so you could say I didn't want people to poke fun at me when they already did say things about my sweaty palms.
But since you mentioned it I'll see if it happens to me also because I've never noticed this heat emanating thing except after I get off some surface.

mm, i'm not sure if you read that right. when i wear socks (with or without shoes) my hands seem to usually sweat less. they are in fact dry right now as i'm typing (the building i'm in is also cold which doesn't hurt). however, i can't just wear shoes and socks all the time, because as a girl, in corporate america, i'm required to wear dress shoes, which means socks are out. so outside of work i wear shoes i can wear socks with as much as possible (i'm rarely in flip flops), but when i'm at work in dress shoes, i take off my shoes under my desk sometimes and put on socks, and that always helps the sweating.

if i have to get up to go the printer or someone's desk or the kitchen, i take the socks off and put my dress shoes back on, because walking down the hall in socks would look weird.

i don't understand why this is....it seems really weird to me. in fact, my feet even usually stop sweating as much when i have on socks.

I ALWAYS wear socks. I would probably slip over if I walked on my wooden floor with bare feet!

I haven't noticed any difference in my hands but my feet seem to sweat less when I put socks on. Maybe the sweat glands are restricted some how - who knows!

I suffer HH in my hands, feet and underarm therefore I wear socks all the time!

I notice that when I wear socks I sweat less in my hands and underarms. When the socks are off within two minutes the taps are turned on and my hands and underarms along with my feet are wet.

Interesting.

Also I would be curious to know what blood types you guys are?

There are five other HH suffers and we are all B+ blood types.

Hi,
I am exactly the opposite. The minute I put socks on, the tap turns on n my hands n feet start to irrigate!!!! I can't even think about wearing tights as just the thought of them make me start to sweat!!!Great, isn't it?
