pinker, can u tell me the maintennance treatment of the feet? im so concerned about the feet more than the hands now. what mA, how many times a day? also, to get this right, the soles of ur feet are still dry at the moment though right? sry if im sounding a bit paranoid lately but im worried since something important is coming up (vaca to texas!!!).
I do my hands and feet at the same time, one hand in one tray and the foot in the other, then I do the other side. I go to 11-13mA all the time. For maintenance i'm going to only do it when I feel the sweating coming back but right now i've done about 4 in this past week (lasting one hour each). I dont think ive ever used it twice in one day. My hands are dry so much so there's dry white skin on them but my fingertips are still moist. I'm really hoping it will calm down after a few days. The soles of my feet are dry, just the insides of my feet and a bit on the outside near my heel.
Just curious. The idromed4 manual says the treatment should last no more than 15 minutes. Does the idrostar specify otherwise or have you increased treatment times because shorter treatments did not work?
I probably didnt explain that well. I mean I spend 10-15 minutes with one hand and one foot in each tray, on one polarity, then I turn off, switch to the other polarity and do the same. So that's 20-30 minutes in total. Then I do the same with my other hand and foot on each polarity, so again that's 20-30 minutes. So in total its about 1 hour for the full treatment.
BTW I added the efferverscent health salts yesterday when I did a treatment and my hands and feet have been completely dry today! I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions yet but i'm going to give it a week and see what happens. My fingertips are dry as well. I did roll on some driclor onto them last night but I don't think it can have this effect so fast.

Pinker, please do post your experience with the salts. What are efferverscent health salts by the way?
I was just reading everyone's posts on this thread and interesting to note that ionto may sometimes stop working for a while for people, I've not had that yet, and (dry) fingers crossed, it won't happen to me. Do results vary for any reason?
What I have noticed is that when my HH starts coming back just slightly in my palms and I start the ionto process, the first initial days of treatment actually increase the sweating in my palms. My theory is that the electric currents actually stimulate the sweat glands resulting in increased sweating activity before everything subsides again.
When this first happened to me, I thought ionto had stopped working, but as I continued the treatments (half an hour a day on both hands) it took about 5 days to a week to get back to 85% dryness. I agree with one of the others on this thread to who say that its crucial to just be vigilant and keep up with regular treatments no matter how lazy you feel. It's so much less hassle than going back to square one.

Hi everyone,
I got the Idromed 4 in november last year and it has been working awesome for my hands.. The first 20 days I used it every day for 15 minutes just as the manual says... At level 10-11 after 20 days my hands were completely dry, I always use the positive pole in my right hand because I believe it is stronger and this is the hand that I use mostly to do everything.
After I was dry, I found that I had some compensatory sweat coming out of the front of my head, which I can perfectly live with.
My feet sweats as well but I preffer to do only my hands as now that are dry my feet does not badder me too much.
Now I use the treatment 1 or 2 times a week, depending on how I feel, by the time you know how to work this out.
So I widely recomend to all people that suffers from Hiperhidrosis to try Idromed 4 PS.
i got my feet to 75% dry again. unfortunately, it didnt last that long. i noticed that after i played football, it wasnt as dry as before. i think its because when im playing in my shoes, i could feel my feet getting really hot and sweaty. along with that, there was friction from my feet moving around in my shoes. all those probably led to why its not as dry anymore. somehow the friction and heat made it sweat again because whatever was blocking the sweat from coming out came out while playing football.
does anyone notice something similar to this? like playing a sport and having your feet sweat more again?

I used Sainsburys 'effervescent health salts' which are usually taken for an upset stomach, you just spoon some into water and it dissolves. Because the texture is so fine I figured it will dissolve better than the regular bicarbonate of soda i'd used in the past. On the back the ingredients are Sodium bicarbonate 22.6% w/w, Citirc acid 19.5% w/w and Magnesium sulphate 17.4% w/w. Also sucrose and sodium.
