Meeting a celebrity

Back in '00, I went to Disneyworld with my neice and nephew.
Anyway, my sister was friends with someone who worked there, and they asked if we wanted to meet Chritina Agulara back stage.
We were on our way there, and I had a panic attack and faked being sick, just so I could go back to the hotel.
I still feel bad because my neice really wanred to meet her. Sad

I've never had the opportunity to meet a big celebrity, but I did get to meet Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal once, who is sort of a celebrity in certain circles. I didn't have any issues talking to him, then again I was on ecstasy at the time. That probably had something to do with it.

I hugged Diana, (Princess of Wales) as a child when at the London hospital (lols), waaaay back when she was alive.

And well, thats pretty much it in my life to do with celebrities... as of yet anyhow.

So yeah, I hugged a royal. Neutral

I know how you feel...when I was younger (from 2 up until about 11 years old) I was in commercials and movies. I auditioned and almost got a small role in a movie being directed by Sean Penn. I auditioned for him like it was no big deal! Although, at that age I had no clue who he was anyways. I also met and auditioned for Bob Saget (Danny Tanner of Full House). Being a big Full House fan I was very excited! But, after awhile and for some odd reason, I developed SA and just couldn't handle acting anymore. Funny to go from a loud mouthed child actress to a quiet SA teen...Whenever I see a celebrity I can only ask them for a picture, and walk away. I can never think of what to say and I just sound stupid. It's a pain really... Sad

I've met with two famous Australian cricketers, Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist and with the host of the Amazing Race, Phil Keoghan. I was anxious before I met Brett Lee (I'm a passionate cricket fan), however, I also realised that these people are also human and the only real difference between celebrities and the public, is that celebrities spend more time in front of camera and we see them more often on TV. Other than that, they are just as human as any of us. Also, once I meet a celebrity I am unlikely to see them again, so I'm not too bothered if I say the wrong things or make a mistake. However, I can understand why some people would feel excited and anxious before meeting their idol (e.g. fans of pop stars).
