I have been thinking about this alot recently and I was just wondering what you guys thought. When SP's get into a relationship, do we tend to take advantage of our partners, without really noticing?? What I mean is do we relay on them way too much? ....even to the point that if you knew deep down that it was time to call it a day, would you just stay with them for the security even though you knew the relationship was as good as over??

Sorry if you can't make sense of this but I need to make a discission regarding this subject, I'm just so confused, I don't know what to do.

Any feedback would be fantastic.

Thanks!! Rolling Eyes

If as you said the relationship wasn't working and absolutely beyond repair of course I would leave. I guess I'm lucky because I'm ok on my own. Maybe if I was scared of being alone I might be more motivated to push myself Confused Plus if you left you would have a chance of finding someone with whom a relationship would work.

I used to rely on my girlfriend a lot, but then I realised that that was unfair on her. I mean she has her own disabilities to worry about, her invisibility for starters and secondly her inability to talk. She constantly worries about people ignoring her and when she accompanies me to the cinema she has to put up with people claiming they cant see her and sitting on her lap. And of course with my socialphobia I never have the courage to stick up for her and tell them to get off.
So I dont really feel like I rely on my invisible girlfriend as much nowdays but am frustrated that my socialphobia prevents me from being there for her... or getting a real girlfriend for that matter Laughing

but invisible ones can be the worst!

they have their advantages though.... for one they accept me which non-invisible girls don't and secondly they get into the cinema for free and dont eat much so are cheaper to date

The point is Horatio, would you leave her if you knew, as Mather said, deep down you knew it was time to call it a day?

Maybe with an invisible girlfriend it would be easier to never see her again...I dunno.
