I've been taking probanthene for hh for around 2 months or so and I noticed something wrong in my abdominal area so I went to the doctor's to check it out. She put me on antibiotics for a urinary tact infection but there was still something wrong. I got a urine test and the results came back and all I've been told so far is that there's an "inflammation". I sort of gathered that it must have been a bladder inflammation. So I'm thinking that the probanthene has fucked up something in my body since it's originally meant for people with bladder problems. I dunno what the hell to do, 'cause I thought probanthene was finally a way out of this shit. I guess I was very wrong. Has anyone got any info on this? Because I was told by my dermatologist that there were only short term effects of this drug. I'm really fucking pissed off now. Well there y'go. You can't really get any treatment without having some fucked up side effect. Probanthene DOES work for palmer hh, but I never thought it'd come to this. Again, I'd be grateful for any info anyone has on this topic.
Thanks.
I tried them myself a long time ago but the cotton mouth I had was unbearable, also my nose and eyes. Then the next days it did absolutely nothing! Very strange medication.
Have you asked your GP about the glycopyrrolate cream? I recommend you start up iontophoresis again and do lots of treatments leaving a day or two inbetween each. Use a decent current like 10mA - 13 mA. Then like I said make an appointment to see your GP, and get them to phone Andrew at nova laboratories and ask about glycopyrrolate cream. If you get a strength like 1% or more I think it will really help. I've been using 0.05% strength but its too weak so i've made another appointment myself. I think it's worth a try. Have you ever tried glycopyrrolate *solution* btw?
If u wanna talk directly anytime I have msn which is easier.. i'm on there more often than here usually.
Thanks for the info.
I'm currently doing ionto at 10mA along with dehydral cream, as well as the pro-banthine... so I may switch the dehydral cream to the glycopyrrolate and see if that makes it any better.
It's just that taking the tablets seems to control my feet aswell so I don't feel that bad, and I feel horrible 'cause I haven't taken them for only 2 days.
And yeah, I have tried glycopyrrolate solution with ionto and that seemed to make it worse... maybe it was just me but anyway, it didn't seem to make any improvements.
Ever since I've started taking pro-banthine I've felt bloated and it's really not a good feeling.
So I'll be getting tests back from the doctor soon to tell me exactly what's wrong.
Haha, having dry mouth doesn't bother me that much - it just assures me the tablets worked I guess.
I'll pm you my msn.

Dehydral never did much for me. Glycopyrrolate solution was very effective but I became immune to it after many months, not sure if increasing the dose would make it work again but i'd rather not use it. Were you prescribed the 0.05% solution? Definitely ask about the cream imo. If you're like me ionto doesn't do that much for my fingertips or the sides of my feet.
Just a quick message for anyone out there who might be contemplating or had recommended a sympathectomy for HH!!!!
I had two sympathecomies decades ago and my life has been ruined to the point where I am unable to work----if you think your sweating is bad now then your in for a shock---I have to stand naked every night in front
of my air conditioner to stop the constant dripping before I can get into bed---and as for the days
Surgeons don't fully understand the complexity of the sympathetic chain and do not warn of the little they do know about---this nervous systen finely regulates the entire body including cardiovascular activity and even sexual function----once the chain is damaged the rest of the nervous system ceases to function correctly.
I am still developing symptoms after over 20 years the latest being hair loss on one side of my head----a well documented side effect---in my case i have been left with a damagedc eye, breathing problems ,sexual dysfunction, permanent pain in my head, blurred vision and many more debilitating side effects----I have even heard of suicides after sympathectomy.
The bottom line is DON'T HAVE THIS PROCEDURE as it causes more problems than it solves----take it from me and many others all over the world
