1 mg klonopin 10 AM, 1 mg klonopin 10 PM, 50 mg vyvanse when I wake up, another 50 mg vyvanse 6 hours later. today has been one of the best days for me in a while.... no anxiety, except for getting things done. i think i found it guys!!! I actually didnt have any problems talking with girls. I even pretended I was english today (I work at Nordstrom selling mens shoes.) Some chick started hitting on me and I kept up the english accent. Was very funny (you had to have been there.) Anyways, my klonopins cheap, but two vyvanse per days gonna be EXPENSIVE until my insurance kicks in, in about 2 months. Oh well, $300 a month is worth fending off suicidal tendencies. I really believe that a benzo/stim combo works best. Anti-depressants just make you numb. Klonopin by itself is good for the anxiety, but it doesnt make you anymore social. Adding the stimulant, (Vyvanse in my case), is the trick my friends. Vyvanse only lasts 6 hours for me, hence I popped another 6 hours later, and it provided all day symptom relief for my ADHD/Social Phobia. Have a great night all of you. Im hoping to hear some replies!!!

The only problem is that when my vyvanse wears off, my social anxiety is back. Take for instance tonight at my NA meeting. My vyvanse had worn off, and I was withdrawn and thought everyone was looking at me. Ive been going there for months and havent made but 1 friend, where as everyone else socializes. I HATE social phobia.

Well you can't expect a pill to cure you forever. I'd take temporary relief over suicidal tendencies any day of the week.

Peace

Mmm how I can relate to that.
Heres some tips that helped me:
1) When you feel everyone is starting at you. Look around, is anyone paying attention to what your doing? Chances are they aren't even noticing you.
2) If you've done deep breathing exercises before and they help, use them. They don't do jack crap for me, but everyones different.
3) Try and time your medication to your advantage. I take my sedative clonazepam a few hours after the normal dosage times on Friday because I know things get busy around the time the medicine would ware off.
4) Evaluate people in your mind. Humanize them. "Wow...He's got a big head..." "Holy crap...That girl is ugly as sin..." "I'm 10x better looking than him..."
5) If you can, and aren't required to participate or anything. Stare off into space, literally. Focus your eyes on a single point....a table...a book...a window...a poster....etc. This changes your perspective from 'thinker' to 'spectator.'

Good luck!

This is EXCELLENT news sk8er!

Hopefully they continue to work for you.
Someday I too will find the meds I need to at least allow me to continue to expose myself to my fears to erradicate them without medication.

Keep us posted. And thanks for the information. Another medication I can try if the one I am currently on does not do the trick.

I notice that when my vyvanse wears off, I am back to being really anxious around people. But the vyvanse 50 mg, then another 6 hours later really does the trick. It keeps me from experiencing the oh so well known "stimulant crash", which sucks and makes social anxiety worse. With only 1 vyvanse, im only good for 6 hours, which is not realistic for an entire day of dealing with people and trying to be productive.
