I've had somewhat of an epiphany today haha...this was probably mainly due to this site, knowing that there are thousands out there suffering just like me in a range of different ways. Well in a college lesson today we were doing about "discovering your true self". Basically, the whole class took it in turns to write something down describing each person in the class to see if others depict you the same way as you see yourself. Expecting the worst as usual, thinking others would say I'm "weird", "stuck up" or "socially retarded" I was really shocked to get really positive feedback. There were a lot of "shy"'s but that was hardly suprising really!

I've kinda realised that we are all quite selfish beings and more than half our time is spent on thinking about ourselves and worrying about how we come across. It's our human nature, we all strive to be best in this dog-eat-dog world. Everyone varies on the spectrum of social anxiety and arrogance. There's nothing wrong with being socally-awkward, everyone has their insecurities and I believe to fully recover from this I should start accepting myself as I am and stop relying on damaging substances as a quick fix.

hey yeh thats just it init, how others percieve you and how u percieve yaself r usualy two different things, and that goes for how people see those qualties, some see over confidence as wow and others see it as arragonce. just the thing to remember is no one can see your thoughts, because u think ur a dick sometimes dont mean others think oh she/he is a dick. i have a funny habbit of thinking people think 'oh she looks abit wierd' coz i think i am wierd lol sometimes im comfortbale with that, sometimes i aint, depending on the setting.

but yeh go for it girl, be yaself, fuck the rest!
