I'm so sorry to hear that man and I hope your situation gets better. I have had SA for years but it affects different people in different ways. I guess I'm fortunate that mine is not nearly as severe as some people on this site. It is comforting that we can tell each other our situations and hopefully help each other as we encounter the many problems that SA presents us.

I would advise you to find something that you love or like to do. Judging by your picture, you look young. Have you attended college? If it makes you feel any better, I graduated from college in 2007 and I am now in graduate school. All the while, my SA was with me just about everyday and there was no way around it. You just have to manage it the best you can and hopefully (as is the case with me) it can get better.

Does your father know you have SA? Have you tried explaining it to him? Explaining SA to anyone that does not have it is very hard to do. They will never truly understand how much SA can have a negative affect on someone's life. Have you tried treatment? I am very concerned about your situation and I hope it gets better. Just be strong and never give up.

Wow thats frightening. I hope you find work soon. It seems like you're extremely understanding, maybe too understanding of your father's situation.

I feel like perhaps even if work doesn't come your way immediately, there are other things you should try to get out of the house, say speak to an outside organization for help, or at least tell your therapist what your father said, so he/she can find you help.

Maybe I am too understanding of my father. But then, I also tend to think he's too patient with me. I'd have expected him to go off the deep end long before now, though not in such an extreme manner, of course.
