My mother had a bad case of HELLP syndrome, but I can't tell if that's had any effects on my SA.

Oddly enough, I don't remember my birth!

You'll never notice long term memory loss until it's gone.

I was quite a few months premature, i think i was ment to be born in july/august and i was born on the 3rd of june.I was born in distress according to my mom because the ambilican cord was wrapped round my neck about 3 times strangling me lol... and i was a unhealthy shade of purple.Being born premature actualy saved me Smile

Ive always had problems with eating since i was little and have an eating disorder these days. The dcotor ive spoke to said its actualy quite common in pre babies to go on to develop issues with food specialy when your born without the sucking reflex like i was.

Ive got to admit id find it hard to believe there was a straight forward direct link between it,i mean i think its mainly enviromental what causes social anxiety ect in people.Specialy your childhood with your parents and your experiences at school cos its when your personality is really starting to develop. But its intresting.... because i think certain people are born with a pre sorta disposistion to mental problems,so enviromental stress is the trigger... but lol who knows things like this is what might plant the seed.

My mom was in labor for a while, so she had a cesarean section. But I wasn't premature at all.

It's pretty well documented that head trauma for an infant(or anyone) can cause pretty major problems. I mean...it's a delicate and almost infinitely complex human brain! Maybe the comparatively minor trauma of a premature birth could cause predisposition to certain mental problems.

Certainly not something you can complain about, but it's interesting to collaborate conjectures.

It seems to me that newborn child is like blank tape. For example, see how little children learn to speak. Little children! And they learn the language much quickly then adults, not only that, also with perfect accent. As if it was recorded onto them rather. They are also infinitely more sensitive to everything, whatever you "record" on them, will stay there whole life and it is difficult to erase it, the younger the child was, the more difficulty.

I have to disagree with you there! The human brain is the most powerful thing we know of and it's very resilient. You ever hear of the kid that lost half his brain and still went to college?

You are probably right as well, Thelema. This is all such a mystery.
