Do you feel like this a lot? I've got to say there's not really a single thing in my life right now that's going according to plan. When I say that I dont mean like perfect, I mean actually going anywhere so to speak. Everything everyone else seems to cruise through i'm still stood here right at the start. I am so so tired.

Hey Pinker I know it's hard to get that initial motivation, but action precedes it. You gotta DO something first, then you should realize your competence, and motivation tends to follow from that. I used to think it was directly related to physical energy, so when I was tired I didn't bother doing anything...one day I decided to drag myself up from my mess and confront what I'd been avoiding, and it worked...I had a really productive day and felt tons better. My depression can still get pretty bad but is a lot less frequent these days. CBT has been more helpful than anything else.

Depression sucks all the life out though, and you prob. feel like everything is hopeless...anyway I suck at giving advice but if you are up to helping yourself then I recommend 'Feeling Good' by D. Burns, it is based on CBT and it helped me.

Yeah, I feel like that a lot. Like right now actually. Nothing seems to be going my way. And I have done things to try to make things happen. But nothing ever ends up happening. So that just makes me depressed and makes me wanna give up..
