I'm a guy so no personal experience, but...girls can break their hymen during masturbation and if she's really scared she can do it herself prior to sex for the first time

Yep, I'm still scared that I will stuff up in some way and embarrass myself. I have never had a girlfriend (I'm 31) but have had sex about 4 times- all with pros and under the influence of pot. The first couple of times I went I couldn't get hard I was so anxious so no go.The girls were sympathetic which made me feel even worse. Then I tried another time after a smoke and it was better and did the deed. Have not had sex since (about 3 years) and would like to but still panic a bit when it seems it will happen and then avoid it. S.A has got to one the most f****d things to have (I'm starting an SSRI for the 1st time so hope it helps and I can get on with stuff).

Yeah ive never claimed to be an anatomy expert on the female reproduction system lol... And jim_B... im sure alot of young girls probaly do experiment with somthing first to see how it would be,its human nature after all.If your asking about the hymen?... i think that it can often get broken sometimes anyway before sex so..anyway ya might be better asking someone else i dont wanna get lectured again.
Just the thought of having sex is making me anxious. My mind goes completely blank when people talk to me, so I can't imagine how bad it would be when trying to have sex. I'm not normal, and this is not curable. Resigning to my fate is the only remedy.

I sort of agree. I don't really believe in the whole "soulmate" thing, as in there is one person in the world who is "perfect" for another person, like they were destined to be together. But I do believe that there are so many people in this world, that everyone who wants a mate can get one. I think it should be: "There are more than enough people for everyone."
As for being afraid of sex, I am definitely not (I'm a sex addict, kind of part of my OCD-ness), but I have had problems before, not being premature but sometimes being unable to keep a hard-on. I attribute most of this to drugs and drinking, but it also may have had a little to do with my choice of sexual partners at the time. I find I mostly had this problem with people I didn't really care for. In other words, I didn't really know them well, and decided to have sex with them because I found them attractive and not because I particularly liked them.
As someone else in this thread already suggested, if you find someone who you care for and who cares for you and you understand each other and feel comfortable with each other, your sex will most likely be problem free. And even if it isn't, I'd imagine it'd be easier to deal with if it's someone who you trust and care for and who treats you with respect.
Someone mentioned feeling ugly and that this caused them sexual anxiety, but "ugly" is not an all-encompassing word that defines a person. I think it's important to remember that everyone is attracted to different things, and a lot of whether someone perceives you as "ugly" or not has to do with the way you carry yourself. In other words, if you think you're hot (or act like you think you're hot) then others will think you're hot too. Maybe not everyone, but that's life.
I'm sure celebrities like Sandra Bernhard, The Spice Girls, Owen Wilson and Mick Jagger would never have been considered remotely good-looking if not for the way they carried themselves.
I mean come on, I could throw a rock out my window and hit a girl hotter than any of the Spice Girls! It's all about attitude. And obviously, in the case of celebrities it is also about money and marketing, but you get my point hopefully.
