when I was little I used to (I guess you would call it) daydream about something bad happening to my parents or me (basically someone killing us). I guess I was so disturbed by the images that I made myself dream about something else...which is now my current problem. I dream up characters (that have nothing to do with anyone I know) and basically make up a story inside my head (generally its not a happy story...sometimes characters die Sad when I dont want them too.) I literally think up these "stories" all the time now; randomly in school, at work, at home, and especially when I'm sleeping. I was just wondering if anyone else does it too...

Do you enjoy making up the stories? You sound very creative Smile

actually kind of Very Happy but at the same time it can be annoying, especially when I'm trying to do homework and yet I'm too busy making up stories in my head

It doesn't sound like ocd to me, more just like normal daydreaming! Thoughts (obsessions) in ocd are unpleasant and unwanted and aren't just away of distracting ourselves from tedious work.

musicocd is probably right.. but I do find though that obsessions creep in a lot when I'm engaging in intellectually boring tasks...

I believe we have the same problem. I always daydream even I am in class. I also thought negative insights in my head. I tried to remove that thinking but I have a hard time forgetting them at least for 10 minutes. I like writing stories focusing on tragedy, love and horror. I guess my liking had a great impact on what I think and how do I handle problems in my life.

Very Happy
