Hi all,

I've set up another forum over at http://www.freeforum101.com/saaust/.

I'm not intending to draw away any traffic from this site, but I thought it would be good to have a central place for us Aussies to have, to avoid having our discussions scattered accross different forums.

Anyways, all are welcome, so feel free to jump aboard Smile

Hi,

BlinkyBill its good to see an Australian forum that is not state/group specific. I might have a look around.... although lately I have not been posting or even lurking on forums (SPW included).

Have you posted on other forums and or newsgroups (although alt.support.social-phobia seems to nothing but spam)

-SS

Yeah, the newsgroups seem to have quite a low signal-to-noise ratio, so I gave up on them a while ago.

I stumbled accross socialanxietysupport.com recently which also seems to have a few Aussies on. I myself don't post to the forums too much, but they do provide valuable support and I would like to contribute more to these communities.

I hope the forum that I've setup might be able to get off the ground. Having a regional forum allows us to discuss issues from suggested therapists and support resources, to organizing our own meetups, to many other issues I haven't even thought of yet. There seems to be a dearth of regional support groups in Australia, so perhaps the best way is a self-organized model (like Social Anxiety UK).
