Your social situation

I have one close friend who I rarely see because she lives halfway across the country. I talk to her quite often though.

Also, this past year I got to know 3 people in my class pretty well (I even went out with them sometimes! zomgnowai =O), but they are all going away after the summer so I have a feeling I will only get to talk to them briefly on MSN once in a blue moon Crying or Very sad

Second option. A few friends but virtually no social contacts at all beyond that.

that's my albeit sugar coated description of the current climate in my neck of the woods right now ..

No close friends here, just a bunch of acquaintances. The acquaintances I hardly consider 'acquaintances' because even when I run into them I don't bother saying hello.
The only friend I ever considered a 'close friend' was my ex-girlfriend of 2 years...who is now labeled by me a psychotic beatch.
I'm not sure if friends/acquaintances cause me more grief or happiness.
