My problems didn't properly start until college, and the induction was straightforward. Mine might have been different though.. it was just for a few hours. I spoke to some of the teachers, didn't really talk to any students.. it wasn't like that.

You don't sound very happy about things in your post. Can I ask, do you actually WANT to go to college? Do you need to?

Personally I enjoyed high school better than college. My high school was rough (very rough) but I had loads of friends there, and I was kinda in a confort zone for 5 years. I did very well at the end of it too. I guess I grew up around these kind of people so I was very laid back. When I got to college it immediately started going wrong. I never settled into my subjects until late on, but mainly, I couldn't abide any of the people (well, very few). Nearly all the teachers were stiff upper lip, and the people.. just different. I'd probably call them "posh" compared to my high school lol. Or just stuck up arseholes. But I hated it. I felt sad for two years because everything seemed to have changed all at once compared to the last 16 years when I was carefree and surrounded by the type of people I grew up with. If you go to college you've got to make a big effort, because your life is starting to change now, and you've got to try and make the transition as comfortable as possible for your own sanity.

Uni dragged me from the scruff of the neck and made me get over most of my 'issues'. The only way to get over this is to throw yourself into experiences and remember that if it all goes wrong, it doesn't bloody matter. I mean what are you risking? Loneliness?

If you want thinks you change you can to get yourself out there, if you make a few mistakes on the way, so be it. Even people without social phobia make an arse of themselves from time to time.

Taking the risk is better than giving in.

Yeah I think you call university, college. Here high school is up to 16, college is 16-18 then university (you call college) is 18+.
