I'm 17, female, of course, and I don't get it. It seems like everyone on this site but me is obsessed with sex. I'm just not interested. I wonder sometimes, is something wrong with me?

Umm...... I'm not obsessed with sex, and I don't really think too many others are, either. Maybe you just read too many of the wrong topics?

Are you being serious? I think most males, at least on this site, are closer to being terrified of sex. Your stereotyping is not funny.

I'll feel alot better without the desire thats for sure. What with far more important things to think about for the time being.

What don't help is how sex is praised in society, hell you can't look anywhere without seeing some kind of lame advertisement, or hear most conversations without some childish innuendo and/or gossip. It just entices excitement, wherever the observer consciously thinks about it or not.

Hi Helyna,

Sexual desire is a scale. Let's say a scale of 1-10. Some are at a 10 while others are at a 2. Your feelings are completely normal. Don't spend time worrying over whether or not you are "normal". There IS no normal. Just live! Breathe. Desire as you will.

Instead of worrying if your "normal" consider the idea that you may have Standards for yourself. Hold on to these standards and make them your belief. And then when you're attracted to someone; excited to be around someone, and know this 'someone' is someone important in your life; sexual desire will be there. Naturally. Trust this.
