So, I joined this dating site a few days ago, and got an email from this girl yesterday (it was 12 something am when it got into my inbox). It was in my filtered area, so I thought it was spam. But then she referenced the dating site I was on and said she had paid for a full membership to contact me.

I emailed her back shortly after but haven't received anything back from her yet. This probably seems really stupid, but what should I do? Just dismiss it? Even though she went into detail, such as she thought she had seen my around, I only live five miles from her, etc. I'm really confused, it seemed genuine, but now I am doubting that.

Hmm...so I guess not many people on here have dealt with this kind of thing, then? Oh well...

Maybe you shouldn't assume the worst so fast. How long has it been since you send your reply? Just wait a few days and if nothing happens send another reply to her.

Well, that situation has been resolved. But I emailed someone else that I sort of liked several days go, her profile said she came on just yesterday viewed my profile, and she didn't respond. I take it that is a bad thing? Haha. Maybe my message was too short (just asked if she wanted to chat). Or maybe she just didn't like my prof *shrugs*

Anyway, I'm just going to use this thread as sort of "blog" for my online dating experiences.

Yeah it was spam, I just don't know how she got my email so fast (just created it when joining the site), and she then referenced that same site I was on. Which was strange, but I've since forgotten about that.
