I've never had comments about me blushing. I don't think I have a problem about it. Still, I refuse to believe that when my face feels that hot it's not red. My ears get even hotter, but I'm sure not many people look at them, especially when I have my hair down. But do you think that I'm visibly blushing when my face gets hot?

Usually when I blush there are other feelings besides the redness/hotness of my face or ears. I can get a sudden burst of extreme anxiety or just plain uneasiness and sometimes even a little embarrassment/humility. That and people notice me all the time. Doesn't help to have a light skin complexion. I would say that if you feel hot around the face and ears and if you also feel like you have butterflies in your stomach you could be blushing but that's just from my own experience.

Yeh its strange. Although i know i've had this anxiety/blushing (or at least fear of blushing) problem for a couple years now (i'm 27), i've realised that i've never actually seen my face during these episodes (have never been close to a mirror) and no one has ever said anything to me. Recently when i've felt the panick ( and subsequent blushing/sweating) i've tried to find a mirror or something buts its still been quite dark and i can't really tell. Maybe its always been in my mind that its really obvious but its not really that obvious. Or maybe it is really obvious, people can see how uncomforatble i feel and so don't say anything.

I know it's obvious when I blush because people sometimes mention it, which always makes it worse. So since I know it's noticable, every time I feel the anxiety coming on my face just feels like it's burning up and I know I look ridiculous. I blush in front of family members and I think they look at me funny, or maybe it's just me?

I too know that it is obvious when I blush because people always tend to point it out or ask my why my face is so red. I would say that if your face is burning it is probably red. But for me there also tends to be this really intense anxiety that everyone is looking at me when my face starts to turn red. When I am out in public all I can think about is how ridiculous I must look and how everyone around me must be noticing, wondering what is wrong with that guy. It’s that anxiety that seems to make it much worse. Also to the person who said they try to look at themselves in the mirror, I too do the same thing. I get the same results it seems like the lighting is never right or my face just really doesn’t look all that red. Which makes me wonder maybe it all is in my head?

I also know that my blushing is obvious to others.
There are definitely times where my face will feel all hot and I'll think, "oh, no one probably notices it," but then I will take a quick look at the back of my iPod (my mirror lol) and will see how beat red my face truly is. Like, people definitely notice it.

Yeah, i've looked in the mirror too, it's visible. My face gets bright red and it's obviously noticeable

Yea, I think they notice! It seems to feel worse than it actually Is tho. Altho, I've had people ask me "why so red?" (worst question ever!!, btw!) But, I'm never as red as I feel.
