EMDR is a treatment method for people who suffers from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) or phobia. Some people seek this treatment for their anxiety also. While you are reliving the traumatic experience or things that frightens you, you are moving your eyes from side to side at a consistent rate by using a device or having the therapist swinging a pen. You keep repeating the same event until you desensitize yourself from that event.
