Just over a week now I have been taking the prescribed medication Citalopram 20mg. I have noticed a difference in my step. I have less self-loathing and much less negative thoughts. The medicine seems to help with anxiety and I am able to talk with people at work who regularly I cannot face. But what I seem to notice about it is that I don't tend to have anxious thoughts, but I sense I still have a subsided anxiety in my heart. It's as if the medicine is able to block anxiety from my mind but it doesn't alleviate where the anxiety springs from? Does that make sense to anyone?

Yeah of course. I aways have thought as medication as a band-aid effect
Be happy you found something that helps. I tried so many meds and they do jack shit except giv me cool dreams. On seroquel at the moment its been about 5 weeks 900 mg and i dunno just yet to be honest.
Get out there and do shit u usually wouldnt coz of anxiety coz the med will poop out at some stage.
