LOL...I'm even older. I'll be the mummy here. I'm 33. I feel like the old one.

Then I guess I have to be Granny, at the ripe old age of 43 Laughing .

Yeah, I'm not the oldest here anymore! I don't actually feel that old at 33 anyway.

I feel like that all the time, I always feel the opposite of the people I'm with, like I can't relate to anyone. Sometimes I feel so disconnected from everybody else, like I'm different from them Confused

It's all down to how you perceive the situation. That list in the first post, I'm sure most of us can relate to. But, rather than see it as a failing, look upon it as a strength.

All of us are totally unique. Celebrate those differences. Don't seek to "fit in" with others...seek out others who fit in with you!

If I wanted to fit in I would have spent most of my life wearing a baseball cap and tracksuit bottoms listening to crap music whilst sharing a can of flat lager between my mates on a street corner. That's my idea of hell!

My retro fashions and eclectic tastes have always set me aside from the mainstream, but it's my passion and it's me. I will not change how I enjoy dressing or what I enjoy doing to fit in with others. The great thing about the internet, it brings you into contact with people who share your passions and ideals. There are people out there who like what you like and feel how you feel...they may not live on your street or even in your town, but they're there.

Seek and you shall find them!

People (society) are assholes... All everyone does is try to impress each other, get one up on each other. I don't care.. The key to beating depression is being able to be an individual. The system tries to make us into sheep. The day when you feel the same as other people is when you're a part of the system.
