was staying at a family frineds house and said something really dumb, but didnt mean it in the way it sounded. so pissed off cause they are really nice.

he's a frined of my dads and i was surprised how he liked a lot of new music that is typical of a younger generation "massive attack", "Ben Harper" etc

we were at the dinner table and i said to him "I'm really surprised by your taste in music"..then everyone looked at me with a 'please explain' kind of look. so i said "yeah its good!"

he reacted quite well and said "well, i know we are mates so im not going to take offence to that". he was good about it but i still thought "shit thats not what i meant". when i said "its good" i meant that i was surprised in a good way. only reason why i was surprised was cause he was from a mucher older generation.

im so pissed off with myself cause he is the last person i would want to offend and i didnt meant it an that way. he took it well, but i still dont want him to think i meant anything nasty by it. so pissed off with myself.

i dont so them often enough to apologise next time. im so angry i said it.

sorry, just needed to vent.

Man, honestly i do that all the time but im pretty up front. Should have just made a joke out of it and said "you got good taste for an old timer" tried to throw a positive aspect on it and make it a joke. Thats my opinion. Dont get down on yourself everyone has slips of the tongue.

lol dude.

my case was worst.

a friend asked me to modify some computer programs, and i thought, "well, OK"

but i said "WTF MAN" and i meant it in a joking manner..

he took me seriously, and he was damn pissed.

later i told him i was kidding (i was frigging kidding!@) and wat he told me?

"yah, i knew you were pressurised abt stuff, well i guess its ok, pressure makes u mad, i can understand"

i was like "WTF NOO!"

and i regretted, and got depressed..

I can see how little things like that might be embarassing, but really are they at all significant? Most of the time people wont think twice about stupid stuff like that. You just have to try and forget that you said something stupid.

Its not that easy, i believe it has something to do with SP. The little things will haunt me for months, maybe years. Drives me nuts.

I was serving coffee to a customer at drivethru window, and customer handed me money, and she was making small talk with me, to which I had no reply, cause I'm weird that way Shocked , and as I handed her her change, somehow I said something like "a tip?" but I totally don't know how those words escaped me, so she said "what, you want a tip?, is that what you said?" I was so embarassed, I couldn't even reply, many times, words won't leave my mouth!! I hate that feeling Evil or Very Mad

i've said so many stupid things before. just last night when i was trying to go to sleep i remembered something i said in 11th grade during class. it made me cringe just to remember it and i ended up thinking about it for a half an hour. i can remember doing and saying stupid things since i was 10. i think most people would forget about them but i am always trying to think of what i should have said or done. i wish you could erase memories like in eternal sunshine. then whenever you did something dumb you could just go zap it out and move on like nothing happened.
