i forget the name of this but it is really common. i get them quite a bit. they scared me a lot at first but i talked to my doctor and he said there is nothing wrong. apparently some of his patients have this happen more than once a minute. try not to worry about it too much.

Yeah, I forget the name too, heh, but I read that people who have them are less likely to have a heart attack. So lucky you. Smile I wouldn't worry about it too much.

It's called Mitral Valve Prolapse. Here is a great link for it. Usually nothing to be scared about (although I was still very anxious whenever it would happen). It can only be diagnosed with a echocardiogram (which is 100% completely painless and non-invasive... like an ultrasound for your heart). The article explains about how people with MVP are also very prone to having panic attacks and anxiety symptoms.

Hope this helps Smile

http://www.consciouschoice.com/1995-98/cc093/hmd093.html

The drug they put me on to help with MVP and regulate heart beats was a beta blocker (Toprol). It helped me with panic attacks too cause a beta blocker wont let your heart race. The one drawback is that I experienced more depression symptoms when I was taking Toprol. But now I am off of the drug and free from anxiety thanks to NAET treatments (http://www.naet.com/)... plus my heart Murmur's have stopped. I still have MVP, but no longer any symptoms from it. Dunno if it's because my anxiety is gone or what.

They're called PVC's and there is nothing dangerous about them - they really scare me too though.

It's probably just heart palpitation, rather than an actual deformation of one of the valves like MVP. Then again it maybe MVP I guess.

http://www.temple.edu/heart/html/palpitations.html I know I get palpitations when I am anxious or if something unexpected happens, anyway I think its pretty normal (although it doesn't always feel like it). Smile
