Hi Blueshyness

I am from Adelaide. I think there are 6 or so people from South Australia on this site.

Hi there, I'm from Adelaide too!

Know what you mean about feeling self-conscious at times being out in public (eg Rundle Mall) - like being followed with a spot light and alarm bells...

Hi everyone, I'm in Adelaide too Smile I'm a bit (a lot) anxious at the moment, I have a meeting tomorrow at Centrelink to discuss getting back into the work force! This is going to be a challange for me as I hardly ever discuss how I feel with anyone and I'm not sure I'll be able to explain it without sounding like an idiot! Wish me luck Smile

Hi All,
I'm out near Gawler at the moment. My trip to Centrelink wasn't as bad as I thought it might be! I had previously filled in some forms to be assessed for intensive assisstance and we discussed the best agencies for me to look at. She was lovely and very understanding.
Isn't it funny how things happen though, when I got home I had a message from where I'm currently working doing a few hours a week (have been doing this for many years) to see if I want more hours but at a different location, well you all probably know the terror I felt at this. I decided to say yes and to finally tell the boss about my condition. I don't know what I was expecting (the worst) but I got a lovely and understanding response (couldn't believe it). I've got extra training and did one day last week (medicated) so I guess my aim is to become comfortable enough to do it unaided! I really want this to work out, I just need to take one thing at a time instead of worrying about everything that could happen and letting it overwhelm me, and do the best I can, not be the best if you all know what I mean!
Take care
