I just quit my job recently, sp was killing me, the job was really fast paced and it was all customer service and sales. I couldn't handle the pressure, i worked there for over a year and never made a friend just aquaintances. Office dinner parties were....well, you can emagine. I'm still going to look, but maybe just a small call center, i think i can deal with cs issues over the phone. People will always be there, you have to overcome the fear, You shouldn't let some jackass who can smell fear from a mile away steal your success. Just work hard, watch for the troublesome coworkers and you'll be fine. You don't have to be mister social bug of the year just to keep a pleasant working environment. Save the fun for the weekends.

I haven't worked much, did a day last yr, feel so ashamed of myself. But l'm in good company here Embarassed Doing voluntary work this yr, but it's in a really peopled gossipy environment, so l'm completely stressed. I'm getting heaps of comments and subtle bullying, if this is what voluntary work's like, do l really want a paid 5 day a week job? Don't think so. No no, just better with less people about. I still believe voluntary work's a good option. Good luck with yours Bexi Smile

I haven't worked for 9 months Sad
I've never had a decent job or a career, but I've always tried to find jobs I can cope with in terms of my anxiety. I haven't got the confidence to look again at the moment.

I'm also can't work either at the moment due to Socialphobia, and I hate it too! Mad Although next week I've got an appointment with a careers advisor who specializes in helping people with personal difficulties and problems to find work and a suitable job. So I'm hoping I'll be able to find something that suits me. So wish me luck Smile
