ive just started a new job and i already feel like "damn i dont wanna go in." i hate the first few weeks (or months) when you dont know anything (which is normal), you really feel stupid for getting something wrong. everything seems so perfect and you feel pressure to keep that going. being there has made me realise dat i was more good at my old than i gave myself credit for. especially now im helping the newbies who work there.
and it is harder because it doesnt seem to get any easier. the saying is once you face your fear, it'll be alright (well not in those words, but you know what i mean, lol). but it doesnt seem to. you're just living your fears, it not getting any better each day.

yah i know how you feel. its the fear that we will get laughed at or put down that keeps us in this state of mind. going to the same place only gets you used to the surounding but the people are still so terrifying. the trueth is that sociaty stuctures its self with artifical boundrys between peoples, all these damn groups and classes. people have to look a particular way if they want to be liked. its not your fault and you can get over it, you just have to start seeing yourself as good or better then all those around you. hell people are killing themselves even without SA over this sort of thing.

It is strange how all phobias except social phobia are cured through consistent exposure to its cause. Yet I'm still scared of going to the same supermarket for 5 years.

yah it is strange but true. in a fear of hights the ground never comes at you for no apparant reason, people on the other hand do say and do evil thing just because they can. that really why its so hard for us to get over it.
