and dont worry, you aint the only one who gets the "not a chance in hell" look from girls all the time. might have something to do with me being an ugly peice of shit, as that girl on the weekend so delicately put it Smile

Oh my god, someone was actually cruel enough to say that to you?! Shocked Unbelievable. I guess you have to ask yourself: "Even if I were the best looking person around, would I want a girlfriend that treats people like that?", just imagine what she'd say to your friends or family.......

I only wish some girl would say that to me, I would go off on her like crazy and make her look like the POS that she is.

One thing I do notice, though, is that the better of a mood that I am in, the less I get those "bug-off" looks. It's been a bad week at work, plus I was bummed after my family (who was visiting over the weekend) left for home again, so maybe that's what is causing that. Who knows....

I get lonely sometimes also, even though it really comes down to me choosing to be alone right now. I've been in relationships in the past and at the time they seemed great, but hindsight is always 20/20. I would rather be alone than with someone who is wrong and will make me miserable. I used to be a believer in true love (corny as that may sound) but I've seen so many bad relationships and miserable marriages around me that I wonder if love exists at all. And yes, i hate to admit it, but I do get jealous seeing people around me find relationships and get married. I feel it makes me a terrible person to think this way, but my only consolation is that most of them are with the wrong people and they most likely will not end up happy. If I really wanted to be with someone I probably could be. I'm holding myself back. I have my reasons. For some reason I seem to force myself to be miserable.

Despite liking to keep myself to myself i do get lonely - a real connection with someone would be nice.
Resent couples ? Not really, i get forlorn sometimes - sad.

Hi Red.

Im having a lonely day today. One of those typical English soggy autumn days where there is nowhere to go and I cant seem to get theenthusiasm to do much either.

When I see couples I too feel sad as I think Im missing out on life by living in my own tiny world.

Take care, regards, Shy_Uk.

Hi shy_uk, i live in my own tiny world too. Most of the time i don't mind it, but there are times when i just get so overwhelmed by how disconnected i am from people in general. To see people interacting so close to one another shows me just how distanced i am.

dude I know exactly what you mean! one by one my old friends all got hooked up with girlfriends/fiances etc and as they did so they had less and less and eventually no time for hanging out with "the gang" and started to only socialise with other couples... now I got no mates left from that group at all

i feel ya. right now my best friend has a bf and i really have to hold tight to keep back the jealousy. now they're wanting to move off campus into an appartment and i can't help but feel resentment. but i've been in a serious relationship before and i know what it's like. at the same itime i want what's best for the both of them. most of my other friends also have significant others...oh well
