Hey chav,

Wanting to be in love with someone for a reason such as not feeling lonely may not improve your self-esteem. Love can come in many forms e.g. trust, lust, selfish, greed, so be careful when wishing for love.

I’ve just came out of a dangerous love and I feel more lonely than I’ve ever have, although I do wish and hope you find what your looking for.

Love just-Jonny

I think that is the case of "will a relationship cure my SA"

something I've found hasnt in any way shape or form, its helped make it worse in some ways, best to get better and then try, when that will be ...who knows????

masking is ok to a point but then we avoid (yes.... avoidance) who we really are, issues cant be solved when wearing masks, you have to find your true self and get better as that person, this is no mean feat and the hardest thing for any of us to do, I'm nowhere near 100% but have come along way from where I used to be, I've been honest about myself to my freinds too, that I think helped, even though it takes along time for them to get it after explaining so much, I think once we talk about it and are accepted, then thats one of the first steps to being abit more "normal"

A very old cliche, but one that seems to have more defenition for me as time goes on. You have to love yourself in order to love someone else. Also...its not for someone else to sort out your issues. Very Happy

well said!

I know what you mean, Remus. Being in a relationship won't make your SA any better and it can actually make it worse in some aspects (as in having an extra concern about how you look, how you can be embarassing your 'better half', etc).

And damn, saying that you're boring is a cruel thing to say to a friend.
