Gonna decorate.

Its cold, its boring and i am been trying to think of ways to distract myself so I have decided I'm gonna decorate. Problem is, at the moment it seems like a great idea but i know half way through i'll be really bored and fed up with doing it but hey, I'm gonna do it anyways.
What i want though is a design for a japanese style living room. I have searched every where on the net for inspiration but none of the sites seem to recommend a colour scheme. I know japanese just lots of red, golds and greens. i just need to see pics of japanese decor to see if it would look right in my living room. My living room is pretty small so the colours cant be too dark.
Can anyone help???
