I have some other phobias to, would be cool to know yours to.
I am scared of mold, if I see mold near any food I can't eat any food in that room.
If I see a hair in my food I can no longer eat it and I now study everything I eat to make sure theres none in there.
I hate dirty hair, if hair is greasy or somthing makes me feel horrible.
Also scared of spiders webs! and scared of spiders because they make the webs. If a web sticks to me I nearly faint!
So yeah im a bit of a nutcase

oh i hate heights i think im gona fall down and if i look up at something tall i feel like im gona fall its weird....i cant even stand to change a light bulb... |
I'm terrified of heights, I have a fairly large attic above my room that I would love to use, but I'm just too scared to go up the ladder (mainly cos I'm worried about getting back down) I went up the york minster tower a few weeks ago (tallest building in york, insanely high up) was very very scary.

Strange one: I am paranoid about wearing shorts in public... that's practically all I wear in the comfort of home, but as soon as I go out I put pants on. Strange... any ideas?

i'm petrified of snakes. We got to hold a rather large carpet python once at school and i got stuck with the tail-end and it curled around my hands. it makes me shudder just thinking about it. And once i was walking in bushland and this huge brown snake popped out of of the grass and slithered off. Totally freaked me out.
Oh and i also don't like using an unfamiliar shower (e.g staying at a hotel) until someone i'm close to uses it and gets rid of any past strangers 'germs'. They're Kinda breaking-in the shower for me to use. I know it's silly, but if i have to use it first, even though it's all clean, i just feel a little grossed out.

Snakes scare me out of my mind even if they're on tv, it's especially bad because there are rattle snakes all over where I live.
Hotel rooms, because who knows whose been there, bandaids (stupid I know, but gross) and eating food from people that I don't know or who have animals in their house.

My phobia would have to be deep water. When I was little I almost drowned in a lake.So ever sense I never like to go on boats or in pools and to this day still don't know how to swim.

whales...
Don't know where it comes from 'cause i've never seen one in real life but I'm terrified of them. I won't swim in outdoor water...not even lakes because I believe that there will be whales in there and I won't close my eyes in the shower...
I'm an avid sailor too so it's kinda humerous...I was sailing my boat off a beach one day and there was a kayaker kayaking along the shoreline...I wouldn't go in until he was gone because there are all these commercials on tv that show whales surfacing next to kayakers...even though he was in like a foot of water if that...lol irrational...I get a kick out of it lol.

I don't have many phobias, but I can relate to alot of you guys. I used to greatly dislike eating outdoors incase flies had landed in the food. I'd watch my food continuously and eat it asap to minimise chances of this happeneing. I also used to do the holding my breath thing when walking past some people. Nowadays I don't care so much.
I see quite a few of you guys have hygene related fears or discomforts. I wonder if that has any relation to social anxiety. Hmmm, it seems interesting that there so many of us with such similar fears.
These days my only real fears are, my sa of course (though it's quite mild now), being cheated on, getting stabbed in the stomach or chest and having surgery in the stomach or chest area. I just have a thing where if i hear about someone getting anything sharp put into their stomach area i go all weak and jellyish lol
