I had a really crap day again, and I was sitting by myself (as always), when this guy came up to me and put this huge lot of flowers next to me and said that he saw me sitting by myself and he thought I looked a bit sad so he went and bought me flowers, then he told me to have a nice day and ran away before I could even say anything......so I guess bad things don't happen to me all the time, someone was nice to me....but I wonder who he is....he ran off really fast Shocked

Sit on the same bench tomorrow. If you're lucky enough, he's not a rapist.

Nah, I believe it was an honest, genuine act of caring for a random, sad person. I remember this one time a few weeks ago while I was walking to my grandmother's house and I saw this girl that was sitting down. She looked like a mixture between bored and sad, and I had a tremendous impulse to sit down next to her and just ask her what was wrong.

Sometimes I regret the fact that I didn't do that.

No I didn't meet him at school, it was just while I was waiting for my Mum to pick me up after work, he just came up to me and ran off really fast, he had a really shaky voice when he spoke to, I looked for him again a few days later but he's not there.....but you want to know what's really weird....the flowers he gave me haven't even started to die or anything yet, and I've had them a week, they still look really healthy Very Happy

I think that's great, the guy seemed nervous to do it, but I guess it's kinda scary to do something nice for someone you don't know. As SA-ers I think we can sometimes forget that everyone is fighting their own personal battle and the people we see everyday probably need supporting as we do, and it's nice to do random nice things.....

hiya Emma...i think that's really cool...kind of a nice reminder that there are others in the world that do care..kinda reminds me of something that happens at my work sometimes...i work at a busy drive-thru..and sometimes, a customer will purchase the order of the person behind them...just randomly...as an act of kindness...and when i tell the customer their order had been paid for, they are usually really overwhelmed...that a stranger would be so kind...it's nice to see for a change Wink
