Well, I've played with them since 1977 and never even had a close call.

Here's a few facts fer ya:

85% of all envenomations in the USA involve ALCOHOL!! (Hey y'all! Watch this!)

A severed snake head can bite for over 2 hours after being cut off. Surprised

A dead severed head can envenomate you for up to 2 weeeks,
in cold weather even longer.

Rattlsnake fangs articulate in ALL directions, and are quite long;
Just grabbing by the head is a great way for it to easily bite you.

A rattlesnake cannot bite you if you haul
ass over it with a motorcycle BUT it will not die right away, either.
Don't go back to fetch it for a belt. :naughty:

If you have no training with poisonous snakes do not try to catch one.
It's not the same as the python you may have at home;
their mouths move in mysterious ways.

Used to play with snakes as a kid bitten a few time now I am afraid.

I had atleast 7 as pets but got over it.
